"Custom" Cues??

i see you live in columbus do you play out of players or sportsmans??? im a east sider but used to stay on the west side for pool if you want to see what one of those cues looks like in person lemme know my brother has one.

Custom cues

Not very 'custom' if they weren't made specifically for you. Isn't that the whole point of having one custom made?

I can answer a lot of these questions and also have you try out some cues. Check your PM's

"Custom" cues on Ebay.. What do you guy's think? Full custom or run of the mill?? Seller has 3 different cues on auction now....

The seller is either un-informed or a lair because those cues are not unknown, they are in fact made in the Philippines. To date cues I have seen similar in design to those cues were not all that great quality wise. In fact I have seen other similar cues selling new on eBay for around $60 to $90.

I would stay away!!

Ya Trent I used to frequent Sportsman on Sullivant, but the past few years I have not really cared for the crowd that hangs out there now.. Have been going to Bankshots in Hilliard, but working so much only get there once a month maybe!!

Thanks manwon... Not looking to purchase, but wanted to get more educated opinions in case I was missing something... Thanks guys!!

i worked at bankshots years ago right after they opened, sportsmans is the best place for night time action and players is the daytime action spot, thats why i listed them.

steer away from those cues tho, you have alot of cue makers that you could consider local if you wanted a nice cue, Joe Baker, BHQ, Dickie, Hines, and of course Marley custom cues (me) lol (sorry if i left some out)

i just about got a tru balence conversion done if your intrested. along with a few other players, but im far less experienced than the other guys i listed. hope you find a good cue. PS sportsmans is starting a one pocket tournament wend at 3pm $20 handicaped dee adkins i believe is supposed to be running it. didnt know if you played one pocket or not (best game ever).

have a good one.

Thanks! Not too familiar with the local cuemakers, I have just recently been looking at a full custom cue, since I have been an "off the rack" buyer. Speaking of Sportsmans, did you know Brad Linley? He used to manage it I dont remember how many years ago.. As far as one pocket, I have not yet mastered that by any means but I do plan on working on that this Summer.. Thanks Trent!

The 9 ball tourney on Tuesday nights @ Sportsmans is pretty good too. Crowd isn't too bad and the shooters are decent.

tuesday is a tough tourney for sure. theres a great tournamnet on the east side also barbox race to 2 200% addedon friday and they do a points system to where at the end of each month the person with the most points gets a extra 50 bucks and they do a drawling for everyone who has played to see who gets free entry for the next month, its at a place called scotty's it has only four tables but hes expanding and in the next couple weeks there should be 7 tables and a 8 or 9 footer, great crowd also.
