I had this idea to make a modern looking cue holder because I didn't want the traditional wood type. Here is progress so far. There are a few misc things to correct/adjust, but so far I like it !!

What do you all think???

Cool , if glass is in your decor.

I did one kinda similarly out of black marble that matched to bar top in the room.

The Rack is clean. I like the look. Are the holes smooth,so the glass won't shave your shafts?

Very nice, you get some rep. The only bad part about the design is the hole at the top. You and I will slide the cue out. People who don't know better may actually pull out on the butt end and dent the shaft where it goes thru the hole. I've adapted my wooden one so that there are slots at the top. I then made a thin plastic flap (I cut strips from a milk jug) that covers 3/4 of the slot, just push the cue thru or pull it out. The flap is screwed into the wood on mine.

I like the rack too. The holes at the top make me nervous. I can just imagine some banger snapping off the tip of your favorite cue. Paul the milk carton plastic guards are a great idea and an easy solution to a problem. Ya have to love that. :)

that's got some serious zazz

BTW what brand are those cues that have the signature in the little window on the buttsleeve

This is kinda a work in progress......

I still need to line the inside of the upper 3/4" holes with felt.

I anticipate that people lifting the cues out of the rack will be friends, family or poolplayers who can / will respect the equipment. I also will not have my nicer cues on the rack at all times. They are typically in a storage case in my safe!

The cues from L to R are: TS, Black Creek, 4 Schragers, Unknown, 3 Padgetts, Lanz, Luxe, and a couple of cheapies.

Nice work. The 7th cue from the left looks like an old "National". Does it have a name band?...SPF=randyg

randyg - I don't know the maker of that cue. I have posted and sent pictures all over the place to try and find out. No luck as of yet...:(

There is no name or markings on the cue anywhere. I had it refinished and nothing under the wrap either.

Congrats on finding a way to show off your cue collection!

That cue holder is pretty spiffy, too.:)

Glass talk

Nice..

3/8" flat polished starphire glass? That's a great idea because you can do so many variations of colors and pattern glass to match people's requests. (which I'm sure you will get a bunch of :)

Yep, 3/8" Starphire (low iron) annealed glass!!

I am a licensed C17 glazing contractor, so the glass cue holder was a natural!!

Nice choice

... Also a glazier (18years). And yes, I have all my fingers.
