How's everyone doing? Hope everyone is doing good under this crappy economy. I'm looking to get a custom sneakypete with the following specifications:
Butt: tulipwood with birdseye maple/ hardrock maple forearm. Wrapless. Nothing fancy at all.
Weight: 16oz-17oz max
Length: 60-62 inches
Shaft diameter: 11.5-12mm shaft diameter
Tip size: 11.5-12mm tips (Don't know if the tip size has to do with what size the shaft is)
Joint: 3/8 10 radial joint, wood to wood, no collar prefered, if there is collar I don't want any fancy ring work.
Tip: As for the type of tip, I haven't decided yet
I have been looking at:
--Schmelke Custom Tulipwood sneaky (For the price I pay for either the sneakiest or the Josey made to my specs, I would get two schmelke laminated shaft with it.) They can get my 11.5mm shaft.
--The Sneakiest Pete by Poolfool with an OB-2 shaft.
--Josey Custom Sneaky (I don't know if Keith can get the specs I want, if I do get it from josey, I'm going with a josey standard shaft).
Which one would you guys go with. So far, hitting with my schmelke, I like it a lot, but after hitting with a 1st gen predator with a 1st gen 314 shaft, I like it a lot too. If anyone can recommend something or give me some ideas please do. This would be my first custom cue and please give me some advice on what to pay attention to and etc. Any other custom cue makers that you would recommend? I am always open to suggestions. Looking to spend around $300-$400 Thanks for reading.
Happy shooting!
