Cut the BCN some slack

Come one guys....

Im just as frustrated as the next guy about the technical difficulties but I still think the BCN did a great job. Lets look at the big picture here.... We payed 30 dollars for 10 days of pool. Sure feed dropped here and there but we have a company who has put alot of money into pool so that we can have SOMETHING to watch. Everyone here bit@hes about how pool is down in the dumps and needs more exposure....then you wanna boycott one of the few productions we have? Lets quit bitting the hand that feeds us. They have made formal appologies and are even gonna send us a dvd.

I THANK YOU BCN FOR GIVING US THE CHANCE TO WATCH SO MUCH LIVE POOL ONLINE. Dunno about the rest of you but I hope that come next dcc there is still a "flakey" service such as the BCN that I can support and watch ALOT of live pool through. Hopefully all your boycotts can shut down the BCN and then we can be back to square one, no online coverage at all.

I still think the BCN did a great job.
They do a fair job when it comes to streaming. Compare them to others who do live webcasts and you will see that "fair" is being nice.

Not sure what money you are talking about but in equiptment, I could do a better job for less than 2 grand worth of technology. And i could use that equiptment for more than one event...

They say sorry every single time. Their service is always like this. Every single time... They just are not up to date with current technology to pull off live feeds. Its not brain surgery... They just don't want to invest in what it takes to do this. They, most likely, use one server for the whole world...

Agree here. Anything is better than nothing.

I think they would get less complaints if they were up front about the quality of their service...

Hell no, like I said in another thread, they have been letting the same bullcrap happen for the past few years. Its always the same. And look at this chalk off/quick clean scam they pulled. They ripped off David Hodges BIG TIME! The BCN will never get another dime out of me.

I think you must be young and still believe in business's as you do in people.

I'm old and I'm totally cynical about business's. They either deliever or they don't and if they don't they are unreliable and I don't give a damm about their excuses. I don't buy it. I don't even believe them! It's the same old story.... Get the bucks. Screw the reliable product crap.. just get the bucks and then tell them a real good story and make them believe we're good people and are really trying hard and laugh all the way to the bank. Just another broken promise and another lie.

The only way I could think of to spank them was to cancel my order for merchandise and contact the credit card company to make sure they didn't pay. I suppose I'll have to use BCn in the future if I want to watch pool live but I dammed sure won't be buying any "stuff" from them.
