Someone Take Up A Collection QUICK

But as far as the motivation behind these payments, I remain skeptical. I see it as hush money, nothing more, nothing less.

For the right amount of money, even I could be persuaded to SHUT UP.

Listen, I hope all the players get paid the full three million. They earned it!

Nothing more, nothing less....It is 44% of what is owned to the players. To date the PLAYERS have received 1.3 million. So what it IS, is the biggest payout in pool.

There is no way KT made this amount of money from the events, so he has to be paying with his own $$$$

The poolplayers have probably done a lot better than many other people who have fallen victim to a KT hustle. Most of the time they get back zero. Check all the lawsuits filed against him. They number in the hundreds.

He had a game plan with the IPT. It just got derailed along the way, and he bailed mid stream. Only because it was such a well publicized entity is he obliged to make good on some (but not all) of his promises. Otherwise, he would not be so benevolent.

I am not talking about the people w/ lawsuits against KT, I am talking about POOL PLAYERS. And, regarding "such a well publicized entity", don't disillusion yourself....The general public doesn't give a rats a** about pool players not being paid!

Bottom line....Get over it already. In 1+ years the man has put more money into players pockets than anyone else. He could (and might) pay all 3 million and you would still be complaining. I wonder if Efren is complaining?

You've been reading way to many "Miracle Cures". I think you need a "Weight Loss" book to round out your collection. I'm sure KT appreciates your support.

Jay

You are a smart guy. You should be noticing public opinion of this thread starting to turn against people with your ideas. I personally would be thrilled if a person I do not know started mailing me checks but apparently you are not happy with this.
Start using your head! You do not want to be left holding your cue stick while everyone else is involved in a big IPT tournament.

Your getting sidetracked.

This thread is merely a reminder that dealing with the IPT requires more participation from the billiards community if the players are to be paid in full.

This is not a slander campaign though discussing one's past dealings can be viewed as slanderous. However it illustrates how the character has acted in the past and is an indication of how the character might act in the future. It may not be a good indication, but it is all there is.

Actually, I never read "Miracle Cures", and I am currently 6'2", 187lbs, at 11% bodyfat! :D (how bout you)...So I don't think a "weight loss" book is needed.

When it comes to appreciation, I think it is the players that appreciate those monthly checks!

Fleece you sound like a very healthy guy and probably not a bad dude either. But you still have a lot to learn, whether you realize it or not. One of the reasons those check are coming now is because of pressure applied by some people who post on here. Believe it or not, it's true.

If no pressure had been applied both publicly and privately, KT would have gotten off the hook for all three million. He would have gone his merry way, and left the poolplayers in the dust. And you would have been screaming louder than anyone, most likely. Ask yourself what you did to contibute to getting the players paid.

I am posting here now, so that no one is fooled into thinking that this is a change of heart. It is merely an expedient move by a savvy "businessman".
Let's hope that they don't fall for his line again. Tigers don't change their spots.

Every pool player that is receiving checks now should be thanking their guardian angel that someone was looking out for them. You are misplacing your appreciation, believe me.

My ideas? You mean like putting on a pool tournament and paying everybody. Another one of my bad ideas.

You're right, I may well be left holding my cue stick when the IPT starts back up. What will you be holding? Probably the same thing you're holding in your hand now, and it ain't a cue.

Tap, Tap,

Sadly, everything Jay said is true. In fact, there isn't an innacuracy in this post.

Jay you are correct.

The Rare Spotted Tiger
Sunday, Sep. 25, 2005 By SORA SONG Article ToolsPrintEmailReprints We all knew champion golfer TIGER WOODS had a thing for the blond. But when he appeared capless last Thursday for the opening ceremony of the sixth Presidents Cup golf tournament in Gainesville, Va., onlookers got a clue as to just how big a thing: Woods has introduced a mess of blond splotches to his naturally dark do. Are they supposed to represent tiger stripes? Sand traps? A map of his brain? He's not saying. He kept his head covered on the links and, when egged by reporters and fellow players to explain the curious coiffure, said, "Just having fun. Got to do it while I've still got it." So far, no barber has claimed responsibility for the action.

Look, I am NOT co-signing for KT. I do appreciate want he TRIED to do for pool. If it worked, was he gonna make money? Yep..and he should. It was has business. I also appreciate him trying to pay the players (whatever his motivation). Not because I want KT to rise (I could care less), I want the PLAYERS to get paid. I also wish the IPT could come back. Why? Because the last Turning Stone tourney had a 1st payout of 15K!!!! I think pool in America will die if we do not get MONEY into the pro-players pockets. The IPT did do that!!

That's a lot of bull!

Uh, I talking about your avatar. LOL

Are you into the PBR?

Well said Fleese3. I am sorry Jay but I give the credit for the money received to the person writing the checks. He said he was going to pay and so far he is keeping his schedule. I can see an uproar in the beginning but now that he has a history of payments it is time to end the war.
There is a lot of conjecture here as to what could have happened but the one thing that is not conjecture is the checks going into the bank. There have been a lot of assumptions that he was not going to pay, also magazine articles, attempted TV stories. The guy got a lot of unfavorable publicity and lost a lot of money to boot. Perhaps it is time to tone it down. That is the only point people are starting to make.

Peace

Bozo

Well we agree on some things then.

He said a lot of things and made a lot of promises, most of which proved to be untrue. I am not moved by his tardy payments. And I have not forgotten who we are dealing with. Shame on you if you do.
