wow thats great, i love D series, i have a few, someday i might have to start working on a full set of all 26

When I grow up I want a set like that.

In fact I want the MR(A), B, and C series too!

I have a few...but nowhere near full sets and a few of mine need work.

I do have a minty MR(A)2 with a GREEN BUMPER!..... and missed and MR(A)3 on Ebay....that really ticked me off! I held off on that cue because I couldn't track down the proper brown McDermott bumper for it...but I found a bumper after it sold!

I dig early McDermott cues and my second cue after my JOSS was a D-2 that I still have.

Great players and the lower ones come available regularly. I often suggest to people looking to spend small money to look for a used D Series cue.

The cues earlier than 1975 are pretty rare, but there are some spectacular examples out there. I know one person that has a seriously fine example of a pre-1975 McDermott....the best early McDermott I have ever seen in fact. I would love to have that cue.

I would really like to see that cue, Chop; if you could snap a pic next time you see said person.
