The question I have is with the bolded section. What is Ivory Micarta? I always thought they were totally different.

Not to split hairs, but aren't dealer prices usually less than what he would actually charge the average Joe? Very pricey if so.

Thanks,
Koop

lol.. i always wondered that when i looked at his auctions.. how could dealer price be 1,699 when he doesnt sell to dealers!!

i think he means.. that would be DEALER RETAIL PRICE...

every once in awhile, he has a cue that really catchs my eye.. but then i can never bring myself to buy it..lol..

He makes some pretty nice cues, but he has brought his "custom" cue name WAY down when he started mass producing cues and selling them on ebay. To me that really hurt the value of his cues and now he is mass producing his cues which to me isnt custom anymore. Thats just my 2cents worth.

Thanks, Mark

Koop, I think he is referring to the COLOR of the Micarta here.

You don't have to split hairs...a ton of dealers feel the same way about the pricing structure. I bought 5 or 6 cues from him in the beginning to complete his dealer requirement. That many high end cues were a lot for me to move in a small market, but I went for it. I sold one with a $1500 price tag to a young pool player with a decent discount...around $1100. A couple of months later, the kid came back and told me he saw virtually the same 1/1 cue on Ebay for $300. As a dealer, it would have cost me significantly more than double that amount. I had no way to explain my situation to the customer. I stopped handling his cues, as did many other people in similar situations.

ivory is the color of the micarta.

Then shouldn't it read, "Ivory colored Micarta"?

My point is, though I don't know Mr. Perry, this seems to be misleading and borderline false advertisement. Don't you think?

That would have been more appropriate wording.

It will be corrected when it is re-sold on E-Bay in two months. It will just say "Ivory". :o
