Dale Perry cues?

You crack me up.

Any reason other than being a follower that you are telling him to ignore Meucci? Throw out that magical word that is used with so much meaning here on the boards...WHIPPY :D
Just hysterical, thanks for the laugh.

As a former OWNER of a Meucci PP-II with Red Dot Shaft I found my Meucci to hit like OVERCOOKED PASTA. Nothing Solid about that particular Meucci that I bought New LIST-60%, and sold and broke even....

BTW KOOP who made you G O D? ? ? ? ? ?

Probably because the new ones are complete junk...quality has really, really slipped from years past.;)

Whatever you buy, the only person that needs to be happy with it is you. Don't worry about what everybody else thinks. I will tell you that you should hit a cue a few times before you buy it. If he will let you try it and you like it, buy it. Nobody elses opinion matters!

A 100% TRUE STATEMENT, WOW Purd and I agree on something...:D

Kevin is correct the Original Meucci's were QUALITY, like many other Original products.

Than something happen to what made Meucci, and it it called Poor Quality Control and Post Sales Service.

When Owners & customers have problems that go unfixed for extended period of time. :(

This may be very true but I will tell you what I have done. A buddy of mine sent me two of his Meucci's to play with and they are newer models.

I'm going to try his and I will report back to you my findings. If it's a wet noodle then I will eat some crow but that's ok.

I will say that a buddy of mine had an OLDER Meucci Original which may very well be the best hitting/playing cue I have ever used.

KOOP there is ZERO REASON to EAT CROW, as HIT of a Cue is not something a person can measure with a Measurement Tool.

Hit is an Individual Preference, or Interpretation by the USER or a Cue.

It is like asking the Question: How High is Up?????

To someone who fear Flying it will be one answer.

To someone who work a as Jet Test Pilot it will be a different answer I bet....

;)

;)

And this is why I rebut this crap everytime I see it.

All these people with all their adjectives (wet noodle, whippy, etc..) and yet how the hell do you measure this?

And to tell someone not to even consider Meucci when all I ever read is people giving the PC remark that hit is subjective. Well, if that's the case, then who are you or anyone else to tell someone to avoid any cue?

People on these forums exchange information about Cues, Cases, Customer Customer Service, Best Chalk, Best Tip Tool, etc., etc., etc. Based upon personaly experence.

This Forum is like a Consumer Report of Pool, without the laboratory, test equipment, test staff, Subscription Magazine.

If so me one asked the Question tonight what is the BEST POOL CHALK. I would bet the majority of answer would be MASTER BLUE, or MASTER.

Get the point, or am I talking above your HEAD????

Hey Bruce, go screw yourself you half wit.

Even when I try to dumb it down you still don't get it.
Back to ignoring you and your assinine comments / opinions.

If I get a warning so be it but you have got to be one the dumbest bastards that has ever graced this forum.
Back to the village with you so they can have their idiot back.

I bought a Dale Perry 1/1 cue from ebay as my first "custom cue". It's a pretty basic cue made of rosewood and has floating ebony points.

The cue plays pretty decent for what I paid. Now and then I take a look at his new cues on ebay.

He stopped selling cues with two shafts and started making really cookie-cutter cnc designs (on ebay). I find them way too busy and ugly.

Dale's earlier cues all have the uniloc pin and his newer ones have the radial. I prefer the hit of the radial but I don't like the diameter of the butt. I find it very thin.

Also, if you live in Canada be prepared to shell out a lot for shipping. It is 50 dollars US and you have to pay him via wire transfer. He does not accept paypal or credit card from "international" buyers.

I've had my cue for about a year now. I threw out the certificate of authenticity.

Salut

Does this mean I get no Christmas Card & Fruit Cake from you again this year. :( :( :( :(

Thanks for the responses. I had an emergency trip to NYC for work and wasn't able to give more info until now.

I didn't like any of the designs on ebay so I called him directly. I like his DP6-5 model which he lists at 900 dollars. Before I had a chance to mention the price he dropped it to 750 with one of his DPR shafts instead of 2 normal ones and which ever tip I prefer on it. That sounded like a great deal at the time.

I actually got to hit with one that a gentleman was using at a pool hall in town and it felt good. Having only ever played with my Meucci (97-12 yes its warped but I was young and dumb and left it in my car for over 8 years straight) the DP felt and looked great.

I placed the order on the dp6-5 less then a week ago and am considering calling it off now. I don't doubt the cue will be nice, however, if I had known that he's whacking me double for a cue that I have to wait 6 months on when I can have one at half price delivered tomorrow, I wouldn't have placed the order.

BRUCE,

Many of the opinions expressed on this forum are a result of the posters AGENDA. Making money is often the reason some say the things they say.

Liking or disliking a particular maker or seller can motivate biased statements.

It is refreshing when people with knowledge and without an agenda render opinions.

It also helps when people reading opinions can comprehend what the poster is attempting to communicate.

Where I'm from, if you see a woman with legs and a body like this one, you don't care what the face looks like!:D

Just an old avatar a buddy from a motorcycle forum made of me that stuck through the years....
