Now tha I've gotten your attention: I'm giving away absolutely free
good rep as a Christmas Gift to all who answer the following question.
The last time you missed the nine ball (while playing 9 ball) on a
relatively easy shot,what do you attribute the miss to??????????????

I find that almost all the times I miss a relatively easy 9-ball it is because my focus on the pocket shifted at the last minute.

Invariably when I do that I either over cut the ball or send it into one of the points and bobble the shot.

On a side note I will be in the presence of the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders tomorrow as I have tickets for the game.

The last time I missed a nine ball was due to loss of cencentration on the 8-ball and I blew position. It needed to be a reverse cut in the corner and the cue ball skidded.

It was an easy shot so I took it for granted and I was too lazy to stand back up and get it right before I pulled the trigger.

I was having a basically miserable night. Even getting a shot on the 9 was a shock! Actually the last one was a very fine cut into the corner, it rattled, wobbled, pulled a face at me & stayed there. Game over. It was a tough shot but should've gone in. Just wasn't my night.
 
Chalk

One time I did everything right......focused,same pace,same routine,felt right and the object ball still threw off? Could there have been some chalk on the contact point? Was there some power reaching down seaming to say,"not this game"?:confused:

I am currently out of rep.I only had 10 bullets in my rep gun. I will get you tomorrow but I will wish you an everyone one the forum a very Merry Christmas an Happy New Year to all.
I guess what it all comes down to is never take any shot for granted
an if you feel that lump in your throat stand up an go through you pre-
shot routine one more time before pulling the trigger.

Same here. Just rushed and took the shot for granted; no concentration on the shot at all.

Focus

Just lost focus on an easy shot. The previous three shots were up and down the table and none were easy. The nine was close to the pocket and no problem!!
