Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders!!!!!!!!!!!

Happened this week, I took my two young boys to the pool hall. My four year old asked me a question as I was in my stance shooting an easy shot on the nine ball in the corner pocket. Raised my head as I was shooting to try to check out what he was doing, the ball rattled, game lost, but 4 yr old okay and lessoned learned. :) :) :)

Not knowing how to make a bridge on top of the side pocket.

I was looking ahead to the next ball.

......mental game.

It's one of those shots into the corner where its long and not quite straight...but not really much angle...and you just overcut it or throw it with english by accident...........

DAAAAAHHHH!!!

Focus, Focus, Focus. Lack of that is.

Or maybe because I suck!!!:)

And sorry, but I am a COWBOY HATER. Though your team did beat my Panthers.:(

The fact that I suck.

Sometimes, somedays, you're just going to suck.

Well, I call it

"Contenderosis"

When I have worked my way through a tough out and have finally found myself left with an easy to make 9 ball for the win, I sometimes feel that because I have gotten this far, I just can't miss this easy shot. Then I do!

Contenderosis always leads to standing up, looking away, shooting when I am not yet ready, letting something else distract me, or one of many other things that I could easily blame for the miss. But in reality, I failed to follow the same routine for each shot.

Success is a journey, not a destination!

What miss?!?!

I have found that when figuring out how to negotiate a tough rack, once I get to the game ball and it's a hanger, my job is finished. That makes it so easy to forget to give that final ball the same effort that it took to have only a hanger left to shoot.
