If this has been discussed, my apologies. I notice Danny twitches a LOT...rolls his head, lifts/rolls his arm, etc, even when sitting down talking to people. Anyone know why? He ok?

I mean no disrespect, I really like his game and every time I've spoken to him, he's been THE most respectful person - very nice guy. I was just curious if it was like a Nick Varner/Stevie Moore "nervous shake" thing, or something.

So, is the road action dead now or is there new hustlers making the rounds? I would guess internet, text mess etc... probably gives the guy a red flag in every room real quick setting the road player up for a hustle.

I watched him play at a Joss event... Earl was there talking about Danny B's time to shoot. He said, "I wouldn't pay to watch him, but I would pay to watch me!"

I never asked him but I always assumed that the stuff he did while playing (rolling his head, lifting his right arm out and up, stroking the cue before he got down on a ball, etc...) was some sort of mental triggers he had that it was "go time". Kirkwood comes to mind, and a lot of other good players, do similar things. As far as him doing it when he is idle it's probably just nervous energy (saying that as I am bouncing my knee right now)....

Danny was a natural, true blue hustler.... He is every bit the hustler Wertheim portays him to be, if not more. Seen it with my own eyes.

And for the buffet comment "Grumpy" made.... It's really classy how every time Dannys name is mentioned here, someone always has to make a fat joke. Everyone wants to know why pros don't post here more often (or at all) and this is a perfect example.....

I looked at the tournament winnings for 2004. He was about $60,000 short of his $95,000. I also don't remember him being close to number 1 in the world. I guess that was part of the hussle to get an interview. His tournament winnings were about 1/3... wonder if the road money was the same? $66,000 instead of $200,000. Maybe we have a new fats... we just need the new Mosconi.

Danny, and his girlfriend, are two of the nicest people I've ever met in the pool world. I enjoyed that interview very much. That's the kind of stuff that brings attention to pool... not certain girls who can't make balls while they're hanging out of their top!

By the way, Dave, when I play, I will roll my head (usually trying to crack my neck) and lift my arms out (like a mini stretch) when I'm playing. Just gets me loosened up before I hit the ball.

I like the KD video. I love the book and I am waiting for the movie. Kid Delicious is the real deal. Not only one of the great road players of all time but one of the most sincere, charming guys you ever wanna meet.

Could be a form of turets syndrom. Its not just a speaking uncontrolablly thing, it can also be things such as twitching, eye blinking alot, and other jerky movements. I have a old coworker who had it, and you would never had know by his blinking, and slight head movements if he had not explained it all to us.
