Well said, PT, Danny has earned his place in this sport many times over. In particular, I enjoy his stories.
As far as those who would point out, after the fact of course, that he missed a call here and there, they should listen to what another great player and enjoyable commentator, Earl Strickland said on the subject. Earl, pointed out that it is difficult to second guess the shooter as there are sometimes several ways the same shot can be played.
And, yes, there are many other very capable commentators that have been named in this thread. I would add Earl and, of course, Jay Helfert to that list. I think that most of them would show respect and deference to Danny and would not want to be used in a context that was negative to him.
Danny DiLiberto will be put out to pasture when he puts himself out to pasture... Knocking him here anon will have zero impact on what most think including Pat...
If you are a PAYING patron of Accu-Stats I would suggest phone calls or emails as this is not the place or avenue... Every stream we seem to get the same few negative commentors/comments....
The overwhelming majority of the feedback received thru phone and email is in appreciation of Danny D...

I can't speak for anyone else but I sign my name to my opinions.
And I have bought Accu-Stats for years going back to the days of VHS so I am more than entitled to my opinion and shall post it where I choose.
DD is past his expiration date and should be retired. I say that as a paying customer who has suffered through countless matches with his commentary.

I do applaud the fact that regardless of what or where you post you will sign your name to it.... Doesn't change the fact that on this as on many of your expressed opinions I disagree wholeheartedly... That tends to be the way it goes online as well as real life. Doesn't mean I think you are a bad person just that we do not usually see eye to eye...
another good idea for feedback would be for Pat to read the chat rooms (for all streamers), too - those are true paying customers' comments in real time. not everyone knows to call/email, nor makes the time to do so.
Pinky that can't happen... Pat does the switching at the events so no chance to watch the stream chat in real time... Maybe it could be archived so he can look at it later but Jim and his mods handle the chat and streaming issues...

DD should have been dropped from the rotation years ago. He was okay to listen to 4 or 5+ years ago but has steadily gotten worse the last few years. Now he just rambles on and on about the same thing every single match. Basically says nothing, just rambles. The Derby this year was particularly bad. Might be the last Accu-Stats I buy if I have to listen to that rambling.
And no, we don't have to email or call Pat. Maybe he can seek out and put effort to see what his customers are saying. He wouldn't have to look hard. Look back at previous events and see how many people stated that the commentary was so bad they had to turn their speakers off. There are many more out there who are just too passive to even bother speaking up of how bad it is because as soon as they do they get the shallow "you can't say anything bad a bout a legend" group mentality response.
It is great that Pat keeps his friend employed, Danny was a great player, he was a pretty good commentator of certain disciplines, but now in 2015 he has gotten so bad that he should not be on the mike any longer.

I like Danny Diliberto because I sometimes learn from him. He shares his knowledge. The way I use the bridge is from a tip I picked up from Danny on a video. His stories are entertaining.
Compared to the guys on your list Danny was a better player in his prime.
