Einstein, did play pool, actually. When he was a youngman in Stuttgart he played the ever popular German game of "Der Freakinbalsen". I have described this game in some detail in an earlier post, but suffice it to say that Albert was quite adept at playing the game.
Around 1905, while playing with his Aunt, Uncle, and several cousins, he developed his theory of relativity.
Alas, when he imigrated to the United States he had to leave his beloved game behind. A cousin once remarked that Albert was one of the best "Burstenleaders" he had ever known.![]()

Funny you mention Einstein in this. As I have personally seen a photograph of Einstein holding a cue, standing in front of an old 10 foot Brunswick. If I come across the photo again I'll post a link.
I could have sworn it was Einstein I only took a quick glance at it, but it could have been Twain instead.I would bet that was actually Mark Twain you saw.
You are correct Sir, it was indeed Mark Twain. my bad.I would bet that was actually Mark Twain you saw.
