So far I've only been able to find one. It's a neat little thing with.....well, I won't spoil it for ya. Let's just say that Danny's opponent is the cleanest mechanic you've ever seen. :grin-square:

So, yea, there's several not available on DVD format, at this time, but maybe if enough people call in, perhaps they might start converting them.
 
I am editing an exclusive interview I did with Danny back in August. There is some really good stuff in it.

I'm not sure how the video will be released but hopefully it will help raise some funds for Danny's comfort and final expenses in some way.

Thanks Justin and thanks to everyone that has been helping get a little relief to Danny and his family.

Melissa Little and Mark Haddad have been a real blessing to Danny and I really appreciate them helping out a true Legend of the game.

Ha I wondered if someone was going to bring that up. I think Danny was in a couple videos with Mataya. When I was a kid my local video store gad them and I tried to watch anything even remotely pool related that I could get my hands on.

I am waiting to hear from the family. They are proofing it. I will not release any videos until they say its ok. I have called a few times.

I really think more people will want to get involved after hearing from Danny and many of his friends and colleagues.

Does anyone have any photos of Dan at the table in the old days??? I am an artist (painter) and would like to do something for his family one of these days if someone has some pics it would help
 
I wonder if accu-stats would do a bundle of his matches as some sort of fund raiser? I see one where Danny runs 8 racks on Incardonia!
 
I just spoke to Pat Fleming at Accu-Stats. I had called to special order some stuff for my Video-of-the-Month Club membership.

I asked him if he ever looked on AZ Billiards. He said he's glanced at it, but never really gotten involved. I then asked him if he was familiar with Danny Medina. He said sure. I explained Danny's condition at the moment and he said he was unaware of the dire situation.

I told Pat that I had linked all of Accu-Stats matches involving Danny onto the board, but noticed that about half of them hadn't been converted to DVD and weren't available at this time. I asked him if he could do something about it, as I felt there would be a significant amount of orders to get Danny's stuff in the coming times.

Basically, he said that another company does the conversion for them and some of Danny's stuff should be part of that. However, he didn't mention that he would push any of the stuff thru as a special circumstance. Just that it would happen as the other company does conversions. Again, Pat did NOT rebuff what I was requesting. He just stated that another company dealt with that stuff. He really may not have much control over that process. I don't know how it all works.

So, I would ask that if anyone ever calls Accu-Stats for any reason, to mention that you'd like to see the rest of the Danny Medina videos converted to DVD and made available. It couldn't hurt. Maybe they could try to speed it up with that other company. Ya never know.

With that said, I'll be honest and say that I've never met Danny. I've only seen a very small amount of video on him. But, with all the positive things I've heard about on here and in pool rooms, I thought I'd try to do a little something from my part of the country. I'm going to try to order some Medina videos next month and mention to Accu-Stats again about the situation.

P.S. Pat said that 1 of Danny's matches really stuck out in his head. It was the one where he hung an 8-pack on Incardona. I'll see if I can order that one next month for myself.

If Billy Incardona remembers that match and reads this, I'd love to hear his recollection of it.

First time I ever saw Danny was on ESPN, think it was somewhere in Atlantic City on ESPN, this was a looooong time ago (probably early 90s or a bit before). He was playing Jose Garcia. And I believe Mike Sigel ended up winning that event. Wished I had all those matches recorded or something. Some great pool.

remember that as well! At the time i clearly remember my self thinking man that guy can really play! What a talent and a gear that nobody has today like danny did!

The placed they played I remember now. It was Resorts International in Atlantic City. A popular location for billiard tournaments back in the 80s, early 90s. Anybody have any of those videos from back then, please share. :thumbup:
