That does not look like a radial joint to my eye but the below photo is what Tim Scruggs used for a radial joint.

Who makes these shafts & what is the taper?
He considers it close to a pro taper, he likes a longer and thinner stock area. Unfortunately, I am not going to divulge the maker. I hate to say this, but people try to constantly go around you despite the fact these are beyond fairly priced. It is a very high quality shaft for the money. I never try to say these are as good or the equivalent to a Hsunami for example. That would do Richard a disservice. These are a very economic priced piece of equipment with very nice quality.
 
Has the builder let you know the average weight of these shafts? Based on appearance, he looks like he did a nice job.
Your price is the best I’ve seen for a Kielwood shaft by far. You should draw a lot of attention. Best of luck with this thread.
