I'm so happy to see Darren perform again! I really hope he wins something big this year and that he makes mosconi cup!

I'm thinking 2020 Mandalay Bay US Open, is getting em ''all'' going, and this is a man who can win it.

Been meaning to say that I've noticed how well Appleton has played in the last two events, being the US International Open and the American 14.1.

Has he put the WPS on hold to concentrate on getting back into competition shape? He looked like the old Appleton of the last 10 or 15 so years.

Always liked to watch him play. He certainly produces an excitement about him. Especially at the Mosconi. Always liked to watch Chris Melling too. I love the long pause at the back stroke. Looks so smooth. Neils has it too, but not so pronounced.

Best match win I ever saw, the finals when he put a 9 on his opponent outta the gate, and rattled in athe 9 ball in the 8th game and rattled it in the hole worse in his 9th game....fatigue had set in running all those racks ''tight table'', he was spent mentally, very obvious to me, but he ''never gave up''.

Opponent came back, tied it up 12-12.

On the hill, DA had a jump shot....2 in the side.

If yah get a chance, watch that Match.

Was waaaaaaaaaay more exciting than a bridge finger slip (2019 US Open Final) Wu.

I agree - I wasn't aware he had stopped playing. 200 and out vs Bustamante stands as the highest run in competition.

He used to post on this forum before some of the usual suspects ran him off.
