Hoping its not over. if anyone can recover his pool playing, it's Darren. But he may not want to. He may decide spending more time with his family is more important then massive amounts of time into the game to stay competitive. Near death experience has that effect on a person.

As I mentioned earlier in this thread, Darren having to consider the resumption a pro pool career would be a good thing as it would indicate that he is on the path to recovery. At that point, it is solely up to him which direction he chooses to take in his life.

I bet he will stay in the game, just a different role... coaching, teaching, and such. Maybe even product development.

Maybe it's just me, but I sure do feel a lot of negative energy in the air. Kinda reminds me of the vultures peacefully gliding around in the sky above as they study the road on the ground.

No... just not closing our eyes to possibilities, while still hoping and praying for the best. We all love Darren and wish him the very best in whatever he decides to do from this point on.

We never know what will happen. However, the two situations are apples to oranges.

I am thankful for Darren that he made it. From here on out low stress is key!

I just hope that whatever path Darren choses after his recovery will find him happiness and satisfaction.

He doesn't need to prove anything to anyone-- his World Championships, the respect he has among his peers and fans, his overall passion for everything, etc, speak for themselves.

Mr. Darren Appleton is a living Legend, and I truly wish him all the best!

little update my situation and a big thanks to a few people that have kept me alive !!!
on dec 19th dec i was at my office space/poolroom Pontefract/West yorkshire my home town ….putting shelves up and in good mood with manager and friend and business partner Kinga Rauk we was excited about the future and the stuff we going to be doing together lots of plans this past year DYNAMITE BILLIARDS officially alive...
Doing our own brand of cues /merchandise/clothing/accessories etc etc and been a dealer for other companies

and having our own booth at events- like super billiards expo IN PA /BCA and APA Vegas very excited and no chance of doing this without kinga and 1-2 other thats helped us..anyway more on this in a few weeks
so all good but around 9pm Dec 19th was about to leave kinga lives sheffield around 35-40 miles myself around corner 2miles from Pool/Office dynamite bilirids Pontefract ..anyway i told kinda my chest a little tight so said just give me 5…this went on for bout 5 mins soon kinga decided to drive me to hospital 2-3 min drive on way there Then it all went pear shaped my had tilted back kinga arrived hospital jumped put of car screamed for helped CPR was done on me with curtain around and shocks ME OUTSIE.. 45 MINS LATER I WAS TRANSFERD TO LEEDS GENERAL INF 20 MILES AWAY THEY GOT MY BREATHING BACK ..finllygot something from me and i was in coma for at least 7 days after ?not gonna lie when i finally come round i was ver very confused and memory loss its been hard and process and cry emotional at times and seeing my family and friends really have kept me going i prayed t my mum to give me one more chance .. i will never smoke ever again..
but got to be honest one person saved me if she ant there and wasn’t so quick i would be dead simple ..kinga not you my manager but also my best friend owe you my life thanks so much to you and your family i can’t thank you and lukas and parents enough…
to my family thanks for support my brothers and father and best friends th support and love incredredible
my social media’s were down 90% fb instagagm whats apps not seen ne message yet as my phone down etc
I’ve got 1000s I’ve seen and 1000s I’ve missed I’m sorry i will try and ecentuly reply to most of you
i went down around 19th believe wake around 25/26th its been slow since but last few days I’ve felt very good and hopefully to go home this week .. i will be back fitter and stronger on and off the table
