Shannon just beat Reyes 3-1 in a fantastic display of one pocket (at least on his part). Efren will play Cliff Joyner to dtermine who faces Shannon in the final match on Thurday.

Shannon was masterful, that street sweeper shot in game two was the bomb!

Shannon has defied all odds to be playing as well as he has... The guy never practices gambles or anything to stay in top form...
Truely amazing...
From all his friends here in Asheville North Carolina.... GO GET EM CANNON!!!

Count me among the many who haven't quite figured out how Shannon won a number of huge one pocket events like the Legends tourneys (more than once, unless I'm mistaken) years ago and then somehow almost became forgotten in one pocket.

I realize that he needs to do other things to take care of his family and business, but he was so damn good so early its still almost seems surprising to hear that he's ranked lower than guys like Gabe, Chohan, Frost,etc... in many peoples eyes.

I still consider Efren the best of course, but my brain still wants to believe that Shannon should be at least tied for second best with guys like Joyner (when he's playing good) and maybe Frost these days.

I hope he wins and revives his interest in one pocket. He is a huge talent in all games, but even more so in banks and one pocket.

He can swing it with any of them. It is kinda sad that he has the talent to compete with the best and he doesn't get out and play more. I know that a "pool player's" life is full of ups and downs, both emotionally and financially, and that is the main reason he has chosen another avenue in which to support himself. I am glad that he has found a way to be monetarily secure.

That being said........'ol part timer is sure shooting their liver out so far.

I almost brought his name up in another thread on one pocket, because I remember watching the dvds of some old matches where he plays so well. But I hadnt heard his name mentioned in so long I didnt know if he was still playing LOL.

Well said

I totally 100% agree with everything you mentioned. It is certainly true that many pool players have very short memory and somehow beleive a player is only as good as their last shot.

Big shot after big shot...after big shot...after big shot...after big shot...after big shot...after big shot...after big shot...Shannon played like a god in the first two games.

SD is gonna bring the money back to SC, no doubt! He can play with anyone no matter what you may hear him or anybody else say. If you think otherwise you've never seen him in action. I've been very lucky to have witnessed him in battle several times with pounds of money on the light and I'm here to tell ya boys and girls it's scary!! Get em Shannon!!!

Shannon played some of the best One Pocket I have seen in a long time. He put Efren in a comma and you will ot see that very often. Looking forward to the matches today, should be fun.

Never Gambles? I would have sworn that he breezed through here a couple of months ago and left with more than he came with. Only one person would play him and he didn't last too long.
