I heard a rumor that Kim Davenport and Tony Chohan might match up at Hardtimes after the Reno Open. Anyone know if there is any merit to this rumor? Sounds like it would be a great match. I'd give the nod to Kim before the eye injury but now I just don't know. Tony is a feirce competitor especially when there's money on the line.

The winner depends on which Kim shows up. If Kim is truely back in form like he was back in the mid-90's, I don't think Tony has a chance to win. When Kim made his comeback and won the Shooters tournament in Riverside, everyone was saying he was back in stroke. A few more recent performances have shown that he may be struggling. Tony Chohan shoots lights out, especially for the cash, but he doesn't play nearly as good as the old Kimmer. I would love to hear the results about this.

I may get to see it, I hope so anyway. I think it also depends on what game they play. I like kim in 9b and Tony in 1h. Maybe they'll play a combination of the two games.

Even if this is just a rumor, maybe it will get the two to match up.

If I hear anything I'll let you know RickW.

provided there are no sanitation trucks lurking near the room, I like Chohan , esp if they play 1P.

I think Davenport better stop gambling while he is... well... behind, thanks to Saez. If he keeps losing its gonna be more of a shot to his ego then to his wallet.

Seems like he might be in "go off" mode... just chasing his money.

Thanks Tom. I'd really appreciate that.

See, I have to say that i've seen the exact opposite out of Chohan, everytime i've watched him he's been a fierce tournament player but when i've watched him gamble he's fallen apart. Perfect example is at this years DCC. I watched Tony destroy Kid Delicious in their one pocket match in the tournament and beat him 3-0 in about 15 minutes, but later on I watched Chris Bartrum destroy Tony in a race to 9 ahead for 7500 bananas. That was funny because Scott Frost was backing Tony and he wasn't happy. But it wasnt that Tony was shooting the worst pool of his life, he just seemed to collapse and give up. Who knows, maybe he's had off days the money games i've watched him in.

This one completely depends on what game their playing and which Kim shows up, if he shows up with his recent form he might be in big trouble.

Gee, that is really interesting! Is Chris Bartrum a really good player? Was Tony and Chris playing 1h or 9b?

I totally agree with this Sniper. If Kim is playing good, he should beat Tony in 9b. If they're playing 1h, I like Tony's chances even if Kim is playing good.

I definitely like Tony's chances playing 1h, Kim wouldn't play Tony 1h even would he? I'd assume he'd be getting some weight, but I have no clue about Kim's 1h game, anyone?

Close, but not right. I had part of Tony in that, so did other people. It was less that $7,500.00. I put up part because I thought Tony would play 1 hole, when I found out it was 9 ball, I kissed the money off before they even played, because you are right. He falls apart, in 9 ball, for cash, with a little pressure. And in this case, Chris was way more than a little. In 1 pocket for cash, I would still like Tony.

Yeah, he's a really good player

Tony may have the edge playing 1h, I dunno, I have only ever seen Chris play 9 ball so I can't say. I don't think Tony has a shot to beat Chris playing 9 ball right now. There's not very many people who have to like playing Chris 9 ball right now, IMO.
