Day 2 Mosconi Matches in Progress Coverage

I was a little nervous about Hall and Bergman for the USA, but these guys are playing lights out. Perfect play.

Feijen with a good break in rack five, Gray leaves Niels jacked up on the two, but the Dutchman is up to the challenge. Feijen makes a position erro leaving Gray hooked, but Gray hits a beautiful kick and the rack will be decided by safety play. Bergman in a tricky position, but his soft safety is ineffective as Niels leaves Hall very tough. Spectacular reply from Hall to leave Gray nothing!

Hall's wonderful effort wins the safety battle, and moments later the US prevails in a hard fought rack. Justin Hall is playing magnificent pool so far. Wow!

Hall/Bergman 3 Feijen/Gray 2

Fantastic play and composure from the young guns. Both teams look very solid. But........ Go USA!

Wow The 2 Justins broke Europe's break on positional error by Niels
Looking like first big upset of this year

And USA is becoming the 3J show- 2 newbies +1 oldie over the 2 established vets :D

Super match to this point. Bergman starting to show form, and Hall is playing near perfect pool. This team, consisting of two old friends, is really meshing well.

This is the USA 'A' team for doubles. The Justins have been good friends for years. Thus why they are kicking off Day 2.

The match is far from over - I love people on the internet. Once a player or team gets a lead, they won

Who said it was over?

Hall breaks wet but the shot from the three to the four looks crazy tough. Bergman opts not to take it on and plays a beautiful safety. Feijen misses the kick and Hall has ball in hand. Chance to get to the hill and they don't waste it, running out confidently.

Bergman/Hall 4 Feijen/Gray 2.

Great shot by Hall on the one after a dry break by Gray. Then the Justins run out like water.

They discussed one shot among themselves during the entire match...a safety played by Bergman. Hi Lou.

Mark Gray breaks dry to open rack seven but leaves a very difficult one ball for Hall, but he hits it well and the finish line is in sight. We have a winner.

Bergman/Hall win it 5-2 and the Mosconi Cup is now 3-3.

What a performance from the two Justins. Hall is now the first American with two points scored.

2J wins 5-2 and now main score tied 3-3
USA has already done better than last year in 1st match of Day2
Mark Wilson is happy man- his contract has been renewed:D

Just perfect pool by USA. Really good runout in rack 7 off Europe's dry break. Hope they keep the momentum going.
