That was long before John Shuput, aka Rocketman, began playing pool. He's from the same era as me...early 70's. Add to that, he hung around Chicago mostly.

They may come back in fashion if the economy keeps tanking. You don't need electricity to run a pool table only lighting. That's why pool is popular in Iraq. Besides, pool halls are a great place for the homeless to hang out at - remember the old joke: "Pool hall burns down, thousands homeless."

Let us know what you find out, i'm curious if that building is still there. I tried to find some pics a while back of the old pool rooms,that one is about an hour away from where i'm at. That would've been something to see back in the day.
