I just moved back to Dayton Ohio and it seems as though 2 of the places I used to always go have shut down. I am looking for good spots to play and practice. I would love to find a place around here that has diamond tables with pro cuts. I appreciate any help.

Airway, as noted below, and Valley Street Billiards are pretty much it for 9 ft tables.

Airway is my favorite in Dayton. Nice tables, good food, extremely reasonable prices, and some seriously strong tournaments. Weekly Monday night 9-ball, monthly Tuesday night one pocket, and monthly rotating Saturday B/C one pocket, banks, nine-ball, eight-ball, and straight pool.

Thanks for all the info! I guess Airway is it for the most part. I have been told that there is Kings Table over in beavercreek but it looks like they are more focused on being a bar than a place to shoot. I will have to check into some of the tournaments after I get back into practice a little bit.

Kings Table is a nice low key place if you want to practice. They have a tight 9 ft. Gold Crown and 9 ft. Brunswick Medalist with bigger pockets. They also have 5 Valley bar boxes used by league players. Best part about Kings Table is they have great food, 56 beers on tap and over 160 other beers to try!

If you go to Kings Table, ask for Dean. He's the owner and good people. Tell him Kelly sent you! :)

Valley St. has 2 diamond pro am's and tables are very nice. they have 9 ball tournaments on thursdays. Airway has more people usually but most of the tables are kind of rough but some really good players frequent both places. Then Michael's is only 35-40 minute drive from Dayton.

I just got back from Dayton a couple of days ago. I go every year to visit family for the winter holidays. Airway has a lot going for it. At least 3 tournaments per week, in house league, good food, and a very warm and friendly atmosphere. Airway has also bred some really great pool players. Jason Miller and Ryan Stone developed their games in Airway. So did Alex Olinger and Billy Thorpe, and these two still come around there pretty regularly. I've only been to Valley St. a couple of times. They still allow smoking, so I stay away from that place
