Typically $125 to $150. Some will sell for $250.

Typically they attract more if they have the Glider joint than if they have the odd pin in shaft Dufferin joint. I don't know the name of that joint.

I recently picked one up with ebony into figured birdseye maple for $80.

I think the "best" or most attractive to me are the ones with ebony into figured maple forearms. Harder to find, and even harder to find if you want really great figure.

The two piece ebony into figured maple with the Glider joint was the Dufferin Excalibar model. Yes, spelled with "ar" at the end.

I have no idea what that double butterfly model is but it is a cool example for sure.

FG Bradley in Canada still has some in stock, but they are not the "old" ones. They have spare shafts as well.

Here are some of my examples. I have 2 or 3 more. The one in the pictures with no butterfly was originally a snooker cue. I have the snooker shaft but it has the standard Glider joint do pool shafts fit it perfectly, so I mated an NOS pool shaft with it.

I have been into ebony Dufferin Cues recently and picked up another one from a member here that just came a few days ago. That's the third one in the pics. Original butt conversion said to be Baxter, piloted 5/16x14 stainless collar, with short wrap added later possibly by Theewen, Jerry R shaft with ivory ferrule. Frankencue. In any case the work is very nice. I grabbed some pictures today but I had been playing with them and realized when I pulled them up on my PC I should have wiped them off. That ebony sure does show the hand smudges! Oh well, it's the real world. Here they...

I was at a bar last week and saw an Ebony one piece (single butterfly) sitting in the rack. Asked the bartender to ask the owner if I could buy it or replace it with another. They ended up just giving it to me.

Back around 1990 there was a little pizza shop in a small coal patch town that had a Valley coin table. I used to hang out there some and play.

On the wall rack they had Willie Hoppe cues. I think there were four, as well as some one piece Titlist cues. The local kids beath the crap out of those cues. I wish I had the foresight to grab at least a couple of them.

Shall we assume you are going to convert that ebony cue you found?
 
Good find on the Ebony Dufferin i would've jumped on it in a blink of an eye they make excellent conversions.(y)
 
I play snooker with mine it's original as far as i know but i play pool more with my Tiger Sneaky .

Wow u found an ebony for 80? Can't find any less than 150-250 lately. Darned ebay people driving up prices I guess. Still have not found another with the butterfly on each side. Crazy. I have a fantastic plain ebony conversion with a beautiful bem forearm. Super hard to find ebony into bem buffs. Most are straight grain or curly. Don't know why but I just love the. Lol.

Are you saying there are plenty of ebony dufferin butterfly on BOTH sides around? I am very confused by your comment. If Im reading it correctly you are dead wrong.

Yes down the road. I had two others I traded for a couple tip replacements. One is converted and the other is still waiting for some attention. A double butterfly would have been awesome, never heard of one before. The conversion was my player for a while, but I made a purpleheart shaft for it and it is my breaker now.
