I have been talking with Purdman via PMs and we are trying to start up a DC Metro Pool Club thanks to the recent pool club post that was made here. We know a lot of you guys are in the area and we were thinking of holding it somewhere between DC and Baltimore.

Planning on something like getting together once a month to hit some balls around should be a good time. Just all friendly interaction of course. If any of you are able to do any leg work on this and find out our best options for getting this started, let's hear it. We are definately open to suggestions...
 
AZ'er Monthly Get Together

I think this is a fine idea. Come on all you DC metro players, I know you are out there. Egg, Matt_24, Alpine, Keith, JP, all of ya. My ol'lady will whoop all of ya. Show some cues, make some new friends, I'll give fre lessons. I also do cue repair at reduced rates for members. Moori tips installed for $20. We got Sniper, Moori, Triangle, LePro, and others. Need your shaft cleaned, buy a tip. Lets do it guys.

I'm there! We could throw in and hold a mini tournament, eat good food (fry up the squid Don), and drink cold beer! Don does good cue repair as well...don't sleep on his skills!
 
If it were to happen on a wkend that there's not a Tiger Planet Pool tourney, I would be up for driving to it. Couldn't be more than 2 hrs from me.

FWIW, Fast Eddies in Springfield is renovating and s/b done soon. They do free pool 11-5 every day w/ $8 food tab.

That's a great start. Now we need to work on logistics. We got Icon of Sin in Baltimore. Cory in DC, Mat_24 and UGOTDA7 in Alexandria, Timberly (under some rock):D in West, by God VA, Blacked Balled in Manassas, Purdman in Leesburg, and probably Alpine in Sterling, VA.
Timberly, what is a two hour drive for you? I know my wife is in and girls always make for a pleasant experience. We can change venues monthly.
Champions in Frederick, Orange Ball in Rockville and give me some other suggestions folks.

Great Idea

I'm in (live in Reston). Purely out of selfishness I'd suggest the (new) Breakers in Herndon since it's only five minutes from my house, but unfortunately they don't have a free-pool-with-lunch deal on weekends.
 
Yeah...count me in too. Not 100% sure if I'll be able to do because no date is set yet, but I'd really want to attend. Anyone have an idea as to the time frame for this get together? Will it be before or after VF?
 
How about we do this on Saturdays or Sundays Daytime, maybe from 1pm until whenever... Let's plan to get the first one ready to go in April since next month is the Expo. How does April 18th or 19th sound?

Any idea where you guys want to have it? We were thinking somewhere between DC and Baltimore.

Heath, the 18th and 19th of April are a Tuesday and Wednesday.
We could set up some impromtu meetings in the different areas so you could meet those who are close to you. Then you could plan traveling together. Just an idea.
I could be at Champions in Frederick or Rockville, First Break or Breakers, Or somewhere else tomorrow for a begining. Let me know!

Oops, Was looking at the wrong month, how about the 15th and 16th then :D
