DC Metro AZ Billiards Pool Club.

the russian and I are in. orange ball might be the best spot if people are making a trek, since it's close to the beltway. so what's the deal? are we doing this this weekend?

We could set up some impromtu meetings in the different areas so you could meet those who are close to you. Then you could plan traveling together. Just an idea.

Maybe we could rotate in a circle around DC:

  • Orange Ball in Rockville
  • Something in Laurel, Wheaton, or Silver Spring--does Galaxy run their special during the day on Sat. and Sun.?
  • Champions in Shirlington
  • Something out west (First Break in Sterling, or the aforementioned Breakers?)

We might have to run a DC-AZB tourney while we're at it.

Sounds like a pretty good list of places. If we had a tournament though, what game would we play? My vote is 8-ball, but I guess that's only because it's my best game...

Do you guys have an address for breakers??? Im gonna try to swing down tomorrow but I am going to the vet tomorrow for my parents dog, she is in bad shape and I want to be their so the right decisions get made.

Sure thing. I remember you saying in a different thread that you couldn't even hang with T-Bone or Kingpin. If that is the case you're not going to like it.

Four AZ'ers, one son, and one girlfriend/wife?. Not to bad for 24 hr. notice. No one really got their azz kicked. I ended up in a ring game with Egg McDoget and his ringer friend. Those ex snooker players and their carom shots kill me!!!!!
We have to figure out how to identify AZ'ers. You don't know what anybody looks like. There may have been more, ya don't know.

FWIW, Fast Eddies in Springfield is renovating and s/b done soon. They do free pool 11-5 every day w/ $8 food tab.

I didn't know about it, glad to hear you guys had a good time. The last time I was on the sight was Thur night until I got home yesterday evening.

I took my 1st trip to Atlantic City on Fri after work. Had a great time & found out that it's closer than I thought. I'm there in less than 2 1/2 hrs.... if I had more expendable income, that would be a dangerous thing! :p

In another thread, Eydie is trying to get the info on ordering a type of lapel pin that can help identify us. As a suggestion for the future, the pool room could be called, given the number of people and the time that we're going to be there. They could then maybe set aside a few tables in the corner so that we're kept together as a group. Also, people coming into the pool room could simply ask where the group tables are and they could identify us that way.

this is too true! next time we should do a 5/10 or at least 1/2 ring game. no one can get their ass kicked or talk smack unless some money changes hands!
