DCC '06 One-Hole, Reyes, WOW

You just cost me $58

I'm gonna give you a good rep just to be mean. You just cost me $58 since I figured I might as well get 2005 and 2006 finals while ordering!

I just saw the semi-finals and finals of Reyes vs Pagulayan and Reyes vs Miller. Aside from the first rack, Efren played the most incredible pool I have ever seen! He kept running 8 and out, and also 9 and out. But the way he was going into balls, and breaking up clusters, and going up and down the table to put his opponents in stone cold traps, it was ridiculous! Freddy the beard and Incardona were commentating in the Semifinals, and they were in SHOCK!

For those of you that think Ronnie Allen could have beaten Efren, with both of them in their primes playing 1-pocket, all I have to say for you is NO WAY! When Efren is in dead stroke, he's inhuman!

It makes me wonder, if Efren ever got interested in straight pool, he would probably hold the world record for that in due time. I don't think any human being has ever been able to maneuver the cueball, and go into balls as good as Reyes does. I am still in awe after watching this. In the final match between Reyes/ Miller, I think it lasted like 10 minutes. Jason Miller just had no idea what to do, he was so confused he played like someone who's never played 1-pocket before!

Incredible, absoloutely incredible.

Efren VS. Alex

At Louisville, I watched Alex warming up before he went over to the TV table for the Efren match. He ran 100+ balls in straight pool format!! He was pumped! I went over to watch the match with Reyes, thought it would be a great match, but Alex was simply drilled. No other way to put it.

I agree..

Since I was in the audience for this match I have to agree with the description that Efren was inhuman during those matches. It was almost like a trick shot exhibition at times as if he set up certain shots. He would be doing three different things...making the ball...moving another ball into position...and playing safe in case he missed. But he did this over and over. You would think it was luck the first time but he just kept going. Efren just fed my addiction for Derby City for years to come with that performance.

Yeah, but Efren's still a rookie...

Did anyone notice in the match with Alex that he was putting the chalk back on the table with the chalk facing down? What's with that--is he a rookie or what....LOL.
