DCC 2021

No decision has been made yet and the number of variables they'll have to deal with is staggering. For starters, gatherings of hundreds must be approved by the state of Indiana. If they get that approval, there's still the matter of the extent to which personal protective equipment will be mandated for players, fans, and personnel. Then there's the matter of the travel advisories in effect. Will those coming to Indiana from another state have to quarantine and for how long? Will attendees have to quarantine upon their return to their home state? Will sponsors (such as those who sell cues at the event) maintain their commitment to the event or will some of them bow out? Diamond Billiards will have a very difficult call to make here, and I'm sure they won't act hastily in studying the many aspects of the feasibility of proceeding as scheduled.

I did not know that Indiana was under a current QUARANTINE requirement? Guess we will know more in January.??

Greg told me he has signed the contract and they are moving forward like normal.

With the way things change weekly with this virus, anything is possible right up to the time of the tournament and even during the tournament.

Casino re-opened in June at 1/2 capacity. Just me but there's NO way i'd go to a crammed event like DCC until covid is over or at least a good vaccine is avail. Not worth the risk imo.

I seriously doubt if it happens.
All our pool, darts, and bowling state tournaments have been moved to August.

In addition, the fun of that event is the woofing and side matches (along with the bleacher seating) and let's be honest most pool players don't take the greatest care of their health, me included.

I was planning on going this next time, but I won't go until I get the vaccine, which probably wont get to me until May or June. I plan on going in 2022 though.

I have already booked a room for the banks and one pocket events. People will show up. Look at all the big events in the Midwest, Southeast, and South. They are all full with waiting lists. Even local events are packed here in Missouri.
