DCC 9 ball updates

Shane break with the hop back to the head string. wing ball down. 9 ball kicks the CB low. No shot on the One ball but has a full ball hit.

Shane plays safe. Alex fans the 1 ball. BIH

Very tight pack in around the lower right hand pocket. Shane maneuvering with grace bumping balls expertly.

3-4 Alex

Shane has the hop and stop on the CB down fast. Wing ball down with a perfect shot on the 1 ball.Skittle powder blue (7 ball ???I think ) is clustered with the 5 ball.

Shane runs to the 5 ball and leaves the CB short and is forced to break the cluster with a safe.

Alex kicks the 5 ball and leaves a sell out shot. Open table.

4-4 All tie

5 ball on the break for Shane. Long very tough cut shot on the 1 ball. But, It looks like a free shot but no position to the two. Shane goes for it and makes the 1 ball and CB...Skeeeeratch!!!

BIH Alex.

Open Table run out.

5-4 Alex

Alex with racking problems, calls for help. Scott the Shot, Alex and Shane all staring, tapping and trying for a tight rack.

Alex finally breaks wet. No easy table but has a shot on the 1 ball. Rockets the 2 ball table length in an attempt to stun the CB out for position. The 2 rattles out. Open table for Shane.

Shane got funny on the 4 ball leaving a thin cut tester on the 5 ball. He makes it and is back in line.

5-5 Tie.

Extremely classy move by Alex. While racking, he called Shane up to show him there's a consistent space behind the nine ball and back right ball (in this case the four ball). He stated he can't get the gap to close and the nine Will keep tracking to the corner on his breaks.

Shane and Scott the ref both have their input and the rack was cleared of gaps and Alex broke.

Not many players would have done that.

Well done, Alex

Hop and squat from the corner of the box. Wing ball down. 1-6 ball combo goes down and..... he's..... off.....

Tough table length draw from 7 ball to the 8. He got a shot but bumped the 9 ball. Shane missed the bank on the 9 ball and scratches the CB.

Unforced error BIH with 9 ball left. Alex got a gift.

6-5 Alex

Nice break, 3 balls down. tough 2 - 9 combo on opening shot.

Alex rattles the 9 ball. It was the only shot he had.

Shane missed a medium hard shot on the 2 ball.

Alex cuts the 2 ball down the rail. Starts the run.

Frozen 6 on the short rail to frozen 7 ball on the short rail.....position fell....well.....short.

Alex missed the cut after the unforced position error.

Shane runs out.

6-6

SVB 6 for 6 on breaks and doesn't disappoint here. Good opening shot on the 1 ball after pocketing a few. He's running out to the 4 ball so far with sketchy position play.

This wasn't pretty but pretty is overrated.

7-6 Shane takes the lead

Four ball down with a tough cut shot on the one ball. ( ball hanging up table in the corner.

Shane shoots a two way shot....misses the 1 ball and hooks up table.

Alex full cue jumps, makes the ball but the CB scratches off the 9 ball.

BIH to Shane. No clusters.

Shane falls short on the 6 bizzle side for shizzle. He power draws reverse 4 rails to get position on the 7 ball 1/4 ball off the short rail.

Nice recovery.

8-6 Shane

Shane breaks wet again with a nasty looking unmakeable 2-9 frozen cluster laying near the center of the bottom short rail. Shane maes the 1 ball but leaves the safe short on the 2 ball. This is becoming a habit...short position play. It's a sell out. (easy for me to say).

7-8 Shane

I concur. Great sportsmanship.

Alex's quest for the good rack continues.

He breaks 2 balls down hard but the wing ball rattled.

He had a shot on the 1 ball which he made and proceeded to hook himself on the 3 behind the 9 ball. Tough kick shot goes down. Nice recovery. But, there's work left.

Not being afraid of work, Alex runs out.

8-8 Hill -Hill
