Shane posted on facebook that he took 2nd in the MOT ($3k). Top 10 in both banks and 1-pocket and won the 9-ball. Dennis must have taken 3rd.

What was that about?

Ok so this may sound petty
After the match, when Alex, Shane and John posed for photos at the table, some press photog asked couple of old folks sitting some rows behind sjm to move away so they would not be in the shot. The row of seats were almost empty then as many had left.

What was that about?
That is disrespectful. You mean those 2 old folks were not photogenic enough that the photogs were embarassed to shoot them in their photos? If it was Kim K, I doubt they would ask her to move her fat ass. If the rows were filled , I doubt they would ask all those in the rows to move aside. Why do they have to shoot photo with empty seats?
Pesky press people:D

It probably just threw off the balance of the shot. The photographer should just learn to use focal length to blur out the background, anyway.

That's total BS imho. If it really were an issue they could have easily photo shopped. I am certain in what my response would have been.

I don't know man, I guess I see it differently. I admire people that will ask for something they want, as long as it's done respectfully. The older guys may have not cared at all about moving. You never know unless you ask.

It reminds me of a time when I was playing poker in a casino in Wendover, NV. The poker room is non-smoking, but outside of the poker room a guy was smoking a cigar and the smoke was drifting in. The dude was oblivious to the fact that his smoke was drifting into the poker room and that it was bothering people. Half of the players in the room wouldn't stop whining among each other about the smoke. They even called the poker room supervisor over to their table to say how upset they were getting. This went on for about 15 minutes! Smoke doesn't bother me, but the whining sure did. I said to everyone at the table "Let me try something". I went up to the guy and said "Sorry to bother you, Sir. Your cigar smoke is drifting into the poker room and bothering some people. Any chance you could stand somewhere else?" The dude was totally nice. He apologized and moved to the other side of the room he was in.

My point is, if something would make your life a little better (or maybe just your photograph), why not just ask? Always be prepared for a "no", but people will surprise you sometimes with how cool they can be. I don't know... maybe the photographer was a total d!ck, I wasn't there.

Azb shows shane finished 10th in banks, and dennis 4th. Dennis also went a few rds deeper in 1p than. Shane.. He knocked shane out in 1p.

That's surprising that Shane got 2nd in MOT over Dennis. Unless they changed the weighting to 9b getting more pts.

On the points for the "all around" at the Derby the last time I looked at the board it was 1) Jayson Shaw, 2) Alex P. 3) John Brumbeck and all had a giant lead going in to the 8th round. We left a few hours before the final rounds to beat everyone to the checkout desk.

You can check the time stamp of when I put the photo of the MOT points.l board, but Alex was leading Dennis and Jayson by a good margin. Brumback and Shane weren't on the top three for most of the day.

Alex gets funny on the 4. Studies the shot for a few minutes, asked the crowd for suggestions, then shoots the 3 rail bank (nails it) and runs out.

Here is a photo of the shot. Note that this the table as Alex re-created it to show Django. Also, if the 4 is frozen to the head rail, it was a 2 rail bank. Pretty sporty shot - especially at hill hill.
