DCC Action Room

if gambling is legal between two people then it doesnt matter what they bet. unless the casino has a different policy.
The Casino does turn a blind eye to the gambling, but they actually post “No Gambling” signs that they don’t really enforce. What I know they don’t like is the explicit discussion of the gambling that they are kind enough to not enforce their gambling / gaming authority. The reason why we no longer do the Louie Roberts Action and Entertainment Award is because we did an online magazine interview with Grantland (and ESPN company), glorifying the action. The casino then shut down the Louie Roberts Award as it was a banner title that glorified the non-sanctioned gambling under their roof.

So, I continue to try not use amounts, and I continue to use the “2-man tournament” descriptions. The Louie Roberts Award was the biggest connection to the Derby City Classic for me, so maybe I’m still sensitive to the reason it was shut down.

The casino is the worst thing that could have happened to the Derby but the Derby is their golden goose and they for sure ain’t gonna queer that action. It’s their biggest 10 days of the year and virtually any other time that place is a ghost town. It’s zero like it used to be when you could walk in to the Executive West and watch action for free anytime. Now you can’t even see any action without giving Gregg or the casino their tribute. It’s all become a modernized shit show…and for anyone who says well that’s the only choice, save it, there’s always options. How embarrassing it must be to have the closest thing to old school pool that’s left and 90% of the players and attendees can’t even afford to eat at the venue.

But…it’s what it is, they’re all just tryna help out the pool players 😉

This year so far was a great year for action in the PoolActionTV Aramith Action Room at Derby.

Pretty much been nonstop all night every night all week.

We had some crazy back-pocket 9-ball action all last night that went on until early this morning.

How has that Reyes Gomez cat done so far? Seems like he's been in action the whole time.
he has beat a few people lost to a dozen others just guessing the contingent is down 100 with him up money with Guama though
He said on his FB page the food there is horrible(big surprise) and its really affected his play/mindset all week. Good player and good guy too.
I wonder if he hated the wrap I gave him lol. He seemed to really enjoy it.
