DCC Action Room

check the live stream subforum. wolford, reinhold, atencio, fedor, archer have been in action, along with some lesser known dominicans

Work didnt allow me to attend this year. Any Action happening?
Tons.

I helped out with commentary with Upstate Al last night. Scooter and Grish playing Scotch One Pocket vs Justin. Justin was getting 7/9. Alternating breaks. Dont ask me for last names. Grish and Justin are sub-600 Fargo. Maybe sub 550? Tough to tell.

They started at 5 large sacks of digital Pokemon cards per game each side, and after getting it to even, Upstate told them they needed to do a race since there were other people lining up to do way more than 5 per game. So they changed to a single race to 4 for 20 sacks (40 in the middle).

Scooter and Grish took the set 4-1.

Carl Bolm will arrive today, so there’s bound to be barbox games for 6 figures going on today. That’s *per game* and over 100 large bags of sand.

There’s some free streaming occasionally on UTube that’s better action than the Action Room.
I have to believe you’re going into the wrong rooms. Are you sure the free streaming isn’t from the Derby??? I just described last night’s free stream.

Well, I think you just made it official...I no longer understand pool gambling and, alarmingly, the broader world it seems. Though I spent many years at the race track and in pool rooms - even working in the gambling business for years- I've no idea whatsoever what the implications of the bets you are describing could conceivably be. Is what you describe high or low stakes action? How can one spend a digital pokemon card? Why would one care either way if one wins or loses such a bet?

I mean, I understand the abstract nature of fiat currency and all, but this is truly beyond me.

Can you please point me to a digital age pool room navigation support group? I think I need it.

Ah, hold the press....I think I know what's going on here....lolololol

Chris Rheinhold and Shane Wolford had some great matches. The first one was for 40K and Wolford won.

I believe that the second one was for 20K and Chris Rheinhold won.

Both of these guys showed a lot of heart and class. Lot of distractions in the Action Room with people constantly walking through the room.

Nothing like Derby City, it's the greatest tournament there is.

There is the action room with a paid stream from PoolActionTV and there is the challenge room hosted by Omega and has a free stream on their FB page, might be on their Youtube also

For others that didn’t catch the lingo, some 25 years ago, Grady requested that we on the Internet not disclose the alleged monetary amounts. So I still honor that.

Digital - it was “rumored” that payoffs were in Bitcoin.

i thought for real that pokemon cards was a way of gambling with digital currency, lol. like NFT:s or something.

anyway, bolm already spouted on facebook he was playing for no less than 100k per match this year. could be interesting, despite table size

Understood. In this world where, for the life of me, I can't see the desire nor the need for NFT's and such, I view anything as possible. I guess I'll understand the day I use some type of cryptocurrency or nft to exchange for goods and services. Till then, I reckon I'll continue my cluelessness.

Do they still have the “actual” action room that had about 6 or 7 non-tournament tables, including one bar box. I believe that room was turned into tournament tables, but not certain.

The attraction is not only the matches but who’s playing and the stakes. Watching two unknowns play for marbles or chalk doesn’t peak my interest and I believe I can speak for a lot of other railbird.

Just watched the last hour of 2 guys in the challenge room playing for $20K and truthfully, they couldn’t string 5 balls together. Some people have more dollars than sense.

Left there this morning spent a large portion of my time in the various action rooms. Best game I saw was EASILY Reyito v Chohan playing Dominican 1 ball. I lost money on it but it was quite easily the most entertaining sweat I’ve ever had. Action is alive and well.
