Here is the tentative schedule of festivities for the AZB room; so clear your calendars. We have purposely tried to combine as much as we could into just 3 time slots; leaving you more free for tournaments, matching up, and spectating. These events will start sometime between 11:30 PM and midnight; but get there by 11:30 in case people need to get to those midnight mini-tournaments.

Saturday (1-7) 11:30 PM - "AZB Giveaway" Event. Run by Timberly.

All interested contributors present will throw their badges in a hat, 2 or 4 names will be picked to compete in 9-ball, race to 3. Pot will be split either 67/33 (if it is a 2 player event), or 60/20/10/10 if it is a 4 player event. Pot will probably be $200 to $400 (half of any extra donated money). All details subject to change by Timberly - since she volunteered to run it.

Thursday (1-12) 11:30 PM - "AZB Giveaway" Event & "Justis Case Giveaway". Run by Williebetmore.

Same as the Saturday event. All details subject to change by Williebetmore (I'd like to see how the Saturday event turns out - WE HAVE NEVER DONE THIS BEFORE). We will also draw (from the list of all contributors) the winner of the Jack Justis Roadrunner case, contributed by Jack.

Friday (1-13) 11:30 PM - "Free Pizza Night and Black Widow/Flamethrower matchup"

We'll get $100 worth of pizza, when its gone its gone; fine dining with the Black Widow. We will also do the drawing at this time for the "Black Widow Raffle." Starting right now, I'm selling raffle chances for $20. A maximum of 30 will be sold (and I'm going to buy a few - don't *b*i*t*c*h if I win), and only to AZB members. On Friday we will draw 2 winners - obviously you have to be there Friday night to win; if you aren't there when the tickets are drawn, we'll draw another one. One winner will partner with Jeanette Lee, the other will partner with George Breedlove for an alternate shot, race to 5 (or 7 or 9 or whatever I can talk them into doing) set of 9-ball - all sharking, woofing, barking permitted. The match itself may be moved from the AZB room to the main room or the television table depending on input from Greg Sullivan. Winners will split 67% of the funds, losing team will split 33% of the funds.

As there are a very limited number of raffle tickets; it will be first come first served - anyone who wants one can get on the list now by PM'ing me or posting here.

That's all there is folks. The rest of the pro challenges, Grady's seminar, Tom Simpson jump class, Willie Jopling "reverse pool" challenge will just be plugged in whenever the involved parties have the time. Check the board in the room frequently if you don't wish to miss out.

Please sign up for room monitoring duty if you have the time or inclination.

See YOU at DCC.

LOL, I wish you all the best in winning that raffle WBM. From the things you've posted since this came up, it's pretty obvious how badly you want to win this. You have my promise that I won't b!tch about it if you win. I'll stand up & clap for you. ;)

Good luck!

T-girl,
Badly?? Badly?? So badly that I think I'm going to insist on second party verification of the integrity of the drawing. Either you or Price Waterhouse (if any of those accountant guys show up to sweat the action) will have to assist in the drawing. Really though, I'm just kidding. I think it will be an extremely fun match (I'm encouraging the woofing, barking, semi-sharking) for anyone who is lucky enough to participate. If I have enough to drink, I might even slip up and relay the results of a doubles celebrity 3C billiards match that SJM and I were involved in earlier this year. Needless to say SJM and his hapless professional partner were thoroughly dominated in 2 games by my partner and me (please remind me not to mention that my billiards were worth 2 points apiece).

Of interest almost half the raffle tickets are now spoken for. Those with any interest should probably let me know very soon, I'm thinking of buying the rest of them.

WBM, Count me in for 2tickets on the Lee/Breedlove doubles deal. I can give you my dough when I see you on Friday at DCC. Let me know.

Martin

I'll bring some items to give away extra in the raffle or whatever.

Like "The Spider" training aid, you can get Jeanette to sign the box or something and some pool books.

WBM, I'd like one JL raffle please, let me know if I have to get the dough to you before the DCC.

Also, I'm prolly gonna be working with Ernst & Young, if you need an accountant :D

You're in raemondo, just look me up at DCC, make SURE to be present at the drawing Friday night.

P.S. - half the raffle tickets have been sold so far; anyone still interested should PM me fairly soon if they'd like to compete.

Don,

I PMd you. Put me down for a raffle ticket.

Is there anyway to enter the raffle for the Justis case and not be there?

Shorty,
Its NOT a raffle. Jack is just giving it away to a lucky winner, drawn from the list of contributor's to the AZB room. Unfortunately, the list of players is complete, DCC starts in 2 days. Better luck next year (if we do it again next year).

Oh okay...I will not be there anyway...too cold for this critter to be up that far north.

I'm heading down tomorrow. Getting checked in and relax a little. I know about packing for 10 days Timberly. I go to Vegas in May for 10 days every year and I have to take summer and dress clothes for evey day. I refuse to do laundry while on vacation. See you all real soon!!!!!!! Sam

I've been planning on going to DCC for months. I told them in my interview that I was taking a vacation in January that was already paid for, non-refundable, and asked if that was going to be a problem. They said that it wouldn't... I reminded them again in my 2nd interview just to make sure. It's called priorities :D

One of the guys on my team changed jobs 6 weeks before we were supposed to go. He still had his other job and was doing his interviews for the new one and pretty much told them the only way he'd take the job, was if they'd let him have that week off. They said no problem and even gave him his regular paid vacation in advance. Yea, pool comes first. You got to have priorities or you never go anywhere.
