What's the chances of finding a decent place to stay within a reasonable distance at this late date?

100% there are 3 hotels within 1/4 mile that never fill up. Keep in mind, it's January in Louisville, one of the coldest climates in the northern hemishpere. The DCC is the only thing going on.

You probably can still get in the Executive. If you cant try the Best Western Ashton Suites right down the street. The website asks you which 'rate' you want. DUH! Anyway believe me- no problem

You can always check at the front desk of the Executive West when you get there....there are always cancellations or people leave earlier than expected.

I called two weeks ago and tried to get a room for the tournament, they said they were full. I then asked if I could upgrade from the standard room and they promptly said sure! For more money per night I was able to stay at the host hotel, which is worth it to me.

So you might call and ask if they have any Jr. suites (what they call them) available. They are more expensive but it beats walking around outside in the middle of the night in Louisville in January:D

I know your joking, but it is misleading

The Executive provides a 24 hour courtesy van between their hotels if you wish to stay off the street and out of the cold.

I have a room at the hotel---females: send a photo and financial statement. All inquiries are semi-confidential.

Only the young and supple need apply.
