boycot it, don't go.
Myself, i go to enjoy the event not worry about the name.
The old venue is gone, let it go.
Still one of the best pool event there is.
Enjoy the day,
SLIM
Its not about the venue. Saying if you object to something, not use it or not go is weak. I do enjoy going, NOT TO INDIANA, but to the event. The "Derby" is a Louisville tradition, over 100 years of tradition. The Kentucky Derby has never been run in Indiana and never will be.
What does pool have to do with a horse race?

I get your comparison, the kentucky derby is a tradition.
However, if it came to a choice between ending it or moving it & keeping the same name, i would vote for the latter.

i would vote to move it for this reason; the location is so remote and far from other restaurants, galleries, museums. The speed museum at u of l is a very good place for recognized art. There is a lot of history in louisville that when traveling to different locations, i like to take in the different offerings of the areas.
When i went to the arizona one pocket tournament, i traveled one morning to some old indian ruins about an hour out of phoenix. Another morning i went to an exhibit of natural cactus about ten minutes from the pool room. And because we were right next door to the u of arizona, the campus. Lots of young students.:wink:
If it were held in cincinnati, i would like that even better. Good chili, german food.
continental inn was good for years, before it was moved to louisville. Wish it was still there, personally.

Don't the NY Giants play in NJ?
