Weird day. Bob DeTurk shows up at my house not on time....but ahead of time. Walks down the steps with a tool bag and next thing I know the rails are gone. What the ????.
Anyway I was fortunate to find him on AzB. Mention table service or repair and Bob's name will come up. He's replacing the cushions and recovering the table with a Gold Simonis 760.(same as the original cloth shown). I'm a little bit edgy about this. The word is Bob's work is Excellent....with a capital E. I'm concerned the table will play better than any table I've ever played on. There goes my alibi :killingme:

Nice set up

GC-

Nice room. Is that a III? Is the light a custom made item? I like the full-table length-yet it looks high enough to avoid the occasional 'head bonk'.

I played in a room with the black and chrome GC III's with the gold cloth-that cloth helps see edges.

Congratulations on a very nice home room.

Thanks for compliments. The table is a GC IV. The light is a custom. My neighbor does this as a hobby. We designed it together...he brought it to life. It is too low. I need a helmet and first aid kit. The corner edges are brutal. I miscalculated badly. Light should have been thinner and butted to the ceiling. Maybe 6 foot tubes instead of 8. Oh well. Next time I'll know better.

Bob does outstanding work. He is the go to guy when work is required on my GC4. You will not have any problems with your table after Bob cpmpletes the job. Beautiful room.

Head bonking on the light is part of the game. Just don't bleed on the cloth.

I see you are ready for entertaining. Shots between shots. Nice. And makes good head bonk first aid kit too.

Take care. Enjoy.

Bob DeT is straight shooter also(no pool pun). He evaluates and explains what he is going to do.

Bob DeT is straight shooter also(no pool pun). He evaluates and explains what he is going to do. Gave me a price and I said whenever you are ready. His prices are competitive. He shows up when he says he will. And a pleasurable personality to boot. You guys already know this.
He is worth waiting for. I'll post the follow up when the table is complete.

I live approx five minute ride from Big Boulder. A town called Albrightsville in Carbon County. How far apart do we live from each other?

Bob DeTurk...A Level Above

Table was completed today. Replace Simonis 760 and replace cushions.
My review.
Aside from being a 1st class mechanic Bob is a 1st class person. He communicates closely. Calls to schedule a date & time...and sticks to it. Shows up on time ready to work. From the first time we talked until completing the service he was a real pleasure to deal with and have in our home for hours until he was satisfied with the job. Takes pride in what he delivers. He takes his time. Did not rush to finish to go to another job. Checks and double checks every step. His price is competitive and very fair. He spent a lot of time with the rails in his shop. The price quoted did not change. No travel time or surprise charges. His workmanship and character definitely make him "A Level Above". If you need anything pool table related...repairs, a table..anything...Bob's the person for the job. A true craftsman worth waiting for. Does the job right. I'm very satisfied. I'd use him again. I'm recommending him.

edit: some pics soon
