I just received a 2 x 4 Whitten case from Mark, and it was better than described. I have also heard that he has a tendency to under-rate the items he sells, so chances are you will have a better than expected buying experience dealing with Mark Raymond aka 8-ball Rat

Thanks Mark, love the case

one small bump for a good guy

Mark is a great guy to deal with on here. I bought a fantastic Scruggs BEM players cue off of him. Plus he gave me one hell of a deal on it! :D Thanks again Mark.

Wow..........I'm honored, guys.....seriously.

After a bad run a few months back, I was pretty much resolved to being done with AZB. In a last ditch effort to hold on, I made one more run for the sales....and everything turned out fantastic.

Cuesblues - you were an absolute pleasure to deal with, sir. Timely payment, and as nice as anybody could hope for in a buyer.

To the rest of you...I thank you VERY much for chiming in. Each of you were great to deal with, and I feel as though I've made some good friends here on the boards. I still won't be nearly as active as I used to be....but will definitely stay in touch with all of you.

Thank you, again, for the kind words.

As far as "underrating" my stuff.....'tis better to be pleasantly shocked rather than shockingly disappointed!!! :) :) HUNTER (Steve) here on the boards taught me that a long time ago....and it's been working great with my buyers. Everybody wins.

Thanks, ya'll.

I bought an el cheapo McDermott from him, and the deal was more than fair. I ended up selling it to a guy on my pool team for what I paid for it. He thought he was going to get a cue for $80 from a friend, but when that fell through, I offered my little gem to him for the same $80 i paid for it. Seemed like a nice thing to do. We make the transaction and the guy only has $50. He's on my team so I let him have it with a promise to pay me the rest the following week. It took 3 weeks to get the other $30.... but he did finally pay. The next week he comes in without the cue and tells me his kid knocked it over and the shaft broke at the joint....oh the irony..... He ended up glueing the shaft and he's still using it. Now I have to find me another el cheapo McD for a backup cue

It is so tough to find true gentlemen among the multitude of rouges in the billiards world. That is why it is so refreshing to have a guy like Mark around. His enthusiasm for the game and cues is quite infectious and I am sure that many folks here have felt the effects of that.

Thanks to Mark for just being a good member of the community!

Obviously, anyone that has been a member here for a while would not hesitate to deal with Mark.

Good Guy and Honest Seller

What a great thread. Mark is truly an honest person and has the best interest of pool in his heart. He is one that has taken chances in the past trusting the good in people and is a trait that is rare anymore. Hats off to you my friend!!!

Mark is ok.....I don't know if he is all that great. He's a pretty good rackboy.

Just kidding. Mark is the man.
