Bob Owen has taken the box cue to a higher level of artistic design
than anyone,I once had what I consider to be the nicest box cue that
Gus ever designed,ivory from the wrap down.
That Szamboti made a box cue lover of me,now notice how Bob Owen has taken
colorful and beautiful woods to create something even more lovely.
Now,these pictures probably don't actually reflect the perfections in the
cue correctly,some designs seem out of focus to my eye,but this I know,
when I get this cue in my hand ,it will be as perfect as man is able to
make,
Small delicate and artistic use of ivory complimenting the mitred boxes
featuring woods that delight the eye
My compliments to Bob, I knew that when I asked for a box cue and
left the details to Bob that I was about to see something special.
There may be others who make a cue this beautiful, a few who can make
cues that play so smooth solid and almost magical,but I am at a lost to
think of anyone who can beat what Bob is doing.
This is no common cue.It almost inspires me to say I am never gonna sell it,
but you guys know me, I love to get the prettiest cues in the world
But I do tend to sell them to people who appreciate true
classics
I have no doubt that in 10 years or so this cue will be one of the
classic works of this generation

Skins,you do great pictures,I mean fantastic professional quality
This is also some beautiful cue that Keith Josey made for you.
I think that it is one of the prettiest designs that I have seen
Between Leon Sly,Keith Josey and Bob Owen ,we have had some
pretty good cues or cue makers in this little post
I know I have received some criticism for excessive use of hyperbole concerning my beautiful Bob Owen cue
I asked Bob when he made it,before I saw it if it was better than some of the others he
had made me.
Bob replied"That is not for me to say,I just make them,it is up to others to decide if they like em"
I admire men of modesty ,quiet calm and dignified manner,men like Bob Owen, Keith Josey is also that kinda guy.
You might wonder why I don't keep my mouth shut and let the pictures do the talking,maybe I should,
but I just enjoy making lavish claims that express how I feel,I don't expect anyone to think
that my opinion is the only one, I have always tried to sell in away that entertains
So when I get a cue as knock down gorgeous as this Owen,possibly the most attractive
box cue in the history of cuedom,don't expect ole dean to describe it as "not a bad example
of the box cue from Kansas"
No siree,take a gander at this super delux knockout one mo time.then grab the phone and call

I once knew a guy with a box cue that met Mrs Right because he went to one of those fashionable parlors of pool frequented by the swells and their female counterparts
He walked in opened his case with the brand new box cue
Along comes this lavish dish with shapely figure who says"Nice cue,different design?Where do you get those"
He says,"whilikers but aren't you cute"
"you mean it ?" says she
and it only got better
He says""Shucks,I wouldna said it if I didn;t mean it"
She says "then let me play with that cue while I buy you a drink"
Who knows where the cues will lead you,what exciting adventures await the
bold adventurous man .it all begins with making a call to Deano
then the box comes in the mail,then the trip to the pool room,
Who knows where it might lead?
