Di anyone see the banter before the TAR match last night while the were warming up? It started light hearted but as it went on it got more like they were getting some things off their chest. I don't remember the whole back and forth but a classic line that put Mike on his heels a little was when Mike said something to Jayson about Jayson not being on the Mosconi Cup team. Jayson said "I will be on the Mosconi Cup team at some point and when I do at least I won't choke" Loved it. There were a few other barbs can anyone remind?
 
Why would Shaw not be in the Mosconi Cup? This is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. Who picks these guys. If there is still a spot he needs to be on there. Stupid Stupid Stupid.

And why is MD not in the Mosconi Cup? Really? This has to be a joke.

Who do I need to talk to.

Sounds like Shaw is ignorant to the MC pressure. Not calling him ignorant but he is not above Shane and others who have felt the pressure 1st hand. It's like saying " I will outrun your ass" just wait til I get a car, He's full of sh1t. I hope Mike runs over him tonight

I think Shaw plays better than Souqet at this stage of Souqet's career. I don't know enough about Karl Boyes to compare. I've hardly seen Boyes play. Shaw has been in the US a lot over the past year and has been playing well in many tournaments
 
I believe I detected a little doggy in the last 45 min. of the match for Shaw. But he won. I guess that's all that counts for that match. Johnnyt

The only thing that really "owned" Dechaine was the crap luck rolls Jason got. Jason did not play better than Mike, he got more lucky rolls. Mike had some great chances to win but blew some run outs he should have had, 3 times that I saw. Plus some really odd shot choices in the first part of the match when he tried jumping instead of kicking or a masse. Even despite all that he was in the match but got killed by Jason missing and leaving the cueball safe.

Neither of them really belongs on the Mosconi cup team this year. You can see by this match the difference between the top tier of pros and the next tier.
