Ive gathered some info on the various models mainly the cueman and unique and see advantages to both. I'm looking for something to do tips, ferrules, and cleanings. I like the reputation of the cueman and the set up of the unique seems simple with no moving around of the bed when cleaning. Price seems to be close on the mid and the cc2. I'm not trying to respark another debate, just trying to get some advice to pull the trigger. I'm sure either unit will be adequate. Thanks!!!!

Both are more than adequate for your needs

I have a Cueman deluxe and a CC3. I like the CC3 for portability and simplicity. Though both are great machines for turnkey operations. The compact fold up storage of the Unique is a plus for me.

I still have CC3 I would sell , just havn't checked on shipping. My guess would be about $50.00.
Thanx, Howard

I've never used any of the more portable repair lathes, so can't really form an honest, objective opinion, but I have a deluxe, and It handles most of My day to day repair with no major problems.

What I do know is both Jim and the guys at unique, as well as Chris Hightower are class acts to deal with.:)

I would say stay far away from it. If you want a decent macine go with a cuemith midsize or a unique you will be much happier in the long run. I use Deluxe Cue Smiths and have be over all happy also my midsize is portable and accurate egnough for most repairs. Unique has a good product as well as porper.
