Dedicated spray rooms?

I know there have been several threads on spray booths. Does anyone have a dedicated spray room? If so, care to share any info on a recommended size or other details on the room? I understand it is best to have the compressor outside the room, and ofcourse the explosion proof fan exhausting to the outside.

Anyone?

I have two spray booths and a sand blast booth.

I have a dedicated finish building ( shed ). I emtyed everything out of the storage sged, it's completely insulated and wired for 220 , and made it a finishin building. Very little sanding in there , just spraying of clear coat. With my wifes health problem, no way I could continue finishing in shop attached to house, never did spray there tho . Still havent found home for all the junk that was in shed, but I was just storing it till it was ready to thro away anyway . Heres some pictures.

10 x 12 Plenty of room.

Bought off E-Bay and I widened it 3" on each side . 36" inside . Works great .

BBQ rotisery , looking at Good Will for another one, also works great .

Hi,

I built a clean room in my shop for my spray booth and small wood lathe for applying epoxy to my cues. It is 8'x10' and I have a smoke eater system for keeping it dust free.

It is very easy to control the temperature in this room but I must have the air in my shop at the desired set point because that air is the make up air into my small room. I have a filter penetration on the wall that brings in make up air.

Since building this set up I feel that it gives my finishing process a higher degree of Quality Control. The shop dust has been addressed thus the contamination to my epoxy and finish is null.

Is anyone using a Binks spray cabinet? I may know where one is for $75, and wondering If It's worth picking up?

Thanks Jim. Interestingly enough, I will be building a storage building in my back yard. The thought of creating a small dedicated room inside the building during the construction is what prompted the thread. Segmenting and finishing the inside of a 4' x 12' section would be pretty easy. I would want to have zero sanding done in the room to keep it clean.

Never heard of a "smoke eater system". I will have to do a search on that one, thanks.

Removing the finishing from dust as much as possible is my primary interest.
