If you mean the Delta-13 ball rack, I've never seen a better triangular rack. They are noisy, but inserts can be purchased or made to fit in the side slots to reduce the noise.
Aside the price... any negatives about this cue rack? Anyone using one? Thanks, Frank
Your comments are exactly why I'm apprehensive and asking about this before buying one. It has an ultra modern look...but the metal edges are scary looking. The Delta Cue rack would probably best be for CueTecs. Not sure I want relatively hard aluminum with ninety degree edges in contact with my relatively some round cue shafts. I think I would prefer the traditional wood on wood.
It may be nothing, I'm just pretty careful with my cue shafts and don't even like to use metal bridges.
I have and I like their racks so I have nothing against their product, just an irrational fear of dents in expensive cue shafts
if it's for your GC, why not get the matching GC wooden rack? Aside from matching perfectly, they hold 12 cues and are very high quality.
And I may end up with an extra one next week that could become available. :grin-square:

Hi. I have the ball rack. I'm considering the Delta CUE Rack.

Returning it. The top section is fine. The index holes on the lower section are too deep. The cue butt does contact the metal. It should not. Only the bumper should be touching.
Sounds like that would be easily fixable by putting something else in the holes so they aren't so deep -- leather, cloth, cork, etc.
You're correct and I thought about doing that but for $199 I should not have to. I have $29 racks that have the felt or cork in the base holes. But thanks for the suggestion....If I can find some pre-cut pads maybe I'll keep the rack. It is different.
The Brunswick Gold Crown rack is my next choice if this goes back.
Aside from the price... any negatives about this cue rack? Anyone using one? Thanks, Frank

(Sorry for seeing this only now.) I have the Delta-13 cue rack, and I really like it. (Way back when, I'd ordered the complete set of Delta-13 rack, cue lean, rack wall hanger, and of course the cue rack.)
I know what you mean by the deep holes in the bottom part, where the cue "sinks" into them past the bumper. What I did, was to go to the nearby dollar store, and pick up a set of the adhesive-backed felt pads that you stick onto the bottom of chair and table legs (I think they call them "furniture floor sliders"?). I picked the size that fit into those holes, and applied one each into them. They're a perfect fit, and raise the cue just enough so that no aluminum contacts the butt cap.
Just an idea.

Thanks Sean. I'm going to call Delta later. I'm sure they would like the feed back. I am going to look for pre-cut pads. I do like the modern look of the Delta wall rack.
Also. the screw holes would look better if the holes had plugs or small caps. I might look into that also.
You did the right thing buying the complete package. I bought everything separately.
