Delta-13 Review

I have one. It's excellent. It is a little noisy, but doesn't put me off. I don't load at the foot rail and slide them up and back to rack the balls. I put it into position then place the balls. This minimizes the noise as well as the wear to my cloth.

I do not care for them myself. The sound drives me nuts...tink,tink,tink. As for function, I can achieve just as good of a rack with the solid plastic rack from Muellers.

The rack works

For nine ball it is impressive how it is able to lock the balls in place. I however have had some issues with getting the ten ball and eight ball rack just as tight, which causes one to understand the "racking secrets by joe tucker". The noise issue is solveable and will be controlled in time I am sure. The leather inserts are nice but expensive.

I have the powder coated model and it racks very well. I have only had it 3 months and the only complaint is the powder coating chips off really easy! If you get one get the elite model because there is no powder coating. I would have gotten the elite but just couldnt justify paying that much for a rack.

Delta-13 powder coat

Corner Pocket,

Please send us some pictures of your Delta-13 when you have time. The
chipping from balls is something we have not heard of and we certainly want to learn more about your issue. We have heard of chipping on the exterior corners when the racks hit other metal, such as the metal around the table slot for rack storage.

Thank you in advance for sending your pictures to www.delta-13.com:thumbup:

I've got one with the leather quieting inserts and I honestly wouldn't use another rack after using this one. Consistently tight racks always...

Sure thing, as soon as I get off work I will send pics with certificate number in an email.

Thanks

Upon further investigation last night, I realized that it wasn't paint chipping in the inside of the rack. I was getting black marks where the balls touch the rack and assumed that the balls were rubbing the paint off. The black marks was just dirt from dirty balls. So i apologize for the misleading remarks of the balls chipping the paint. This is not true in my case. The paint will chip if the rack is dropped on any hard surface such as tile or concrete.

No problem, I am not out to hurt any reputation or anything. I just tell it how I see it. This time I saw it wrong though.

I just wanted to say I used a Delta 13 with the leather inserts the other day and what a difference they made. This is a great product.I recommend them highly.I wasn't sure about the leather inserts but a good friend of mine Mike Fieldhammer suggested them and what a difference!top notch!

I bought a rack for my room. I really liked it but heard nothing but whining. Too many old timers letting me know that only WOOD triangles are for pool. So much for our sport advancing.

Brought them in for our weekly and monthly tournaments, at first heard the whinning and complaining about the noise, but after the first few times an "oldtimer" would toss down the rack our wack it on the table, all eyes stare at the offending player and tada! no more players tossing racks around, they place them on the rack hanger instead of tossing them under the table and no longer do you hear some one smash the rack down on the table after a loss. Promots good play and shuts down on alot of sharking at the table with the rack. Also no more complants from a "bad' rack.
Would not use any other rack.
Using them for about a year now, no problems with the racks and before last year we had four of the "indestuctible" racks broken in a two months , no warrenty from Meullars.

We do leave the hard plastic racks on the bar boxes, and sometimes you hear a wham from some ball banger racking.

Thankyou Delta 13
