Deluxe CueSmith on Ebay

Seems to me you'd be better off paying an extra couple hundred and get a brand new machine & all the tooling and stuff from Chris.

I picked up a machine just like that one here on AZ for $2260 shipped but it came with a LOT more stuff. The thing I like about it is it feeds in both directions and really easy/fast to slide the carriage back to the other end. The thing I don't like is the Headstock has to stay where it is. On the new machine I have, I can put the Headstock anywhere from the left end up to the Taper bar. Both machines have there + and - so it helps if you know what you want to do with it.

I agree, start out fresh with Chris. I would get the Mid size with sliding headstock and finish building with him till I had everything. You will never have everything but thats what they print money for.

Bryan, it comes to $2600 Canadian.
Doesn't look like it has a reverse switch nor a wrap motor.

I would spend the extra 3 to 400 extra and get the entire shootin match from Chris.

Chris does provide you with a few extras that this doesn't include.

I just received the lathe that was for sale here for $1000. Not much difference between the two that a couple hundred dollars won't take care of.

Mine didn't have taper bars. Beyond that, not much difference.

Exactly right Terry. IMO just getting a brand new machine and support from Chris is worth the extra couple hundred. Plus you get the collets, cutting tools, centers, pins, Wrap Pedal, etc... even a video (he even let me pick the one I wanted too as I already had 2 of them). Don't mean to be dissing the guys sale but $2300+ isn't what I'd call a deal.
