Anyone know of a Dieckman cue for sale? Pool cue, not a 3 cushion cue. Looking for a friend, around 19 oz's. Patrick

Dieckman's Kotopelle Birdseye Pool Cue

Thanks for bringing up my old Dieckman thread snowmon34. Rep for you.

The cue is still available though my wife has just found a new job. The financial crisis that made me decide to sell looks like it will pass.

Trades considered and will take $300 off the asking price for PDX's buddy or any AZ member. Last chance before I put her away though. That means final price is $1200 delivered (paypal OK)

Pictured is Dieckman finishing his last work. A floating rectangle cue.

Dieckman with two Carom and two 13mm Pool Shafts (aftermarket) was purchased by me today. This was on ebay but I purchased it from CaromBilliards directly. I bought it as a player for my Carom table. I will see how it feels, having never owned a true Carom Cue. If someone wants it as a Collector it may end up being for sale or trade. Bob

bobalouiecda, There a good chance/possiblity that the two pool shafts were make by Adrian Viguera- Hadrianus Cues [ 3 Cushion Player and Cuemaker] from Chicago, illinois and a friend of Dieckman. Read this http://www.cuemaker.com/gallery26futurecueshadrianus.htm

When Dieckman was visiting me 11/11/08 to 11/14/08. I show him that cue on ebay. You will have to ask him about the cue, as each of his cue got a story.
Bob Watson

Bob "Qrunner" Watson, I bought "The Pool Cue Book" from you a couple years ago. You are one of the finest people I have ever done business with. You sent me the Cue makers poem and spoke of your longtime friendship with Dennis. Thanks for the info on the shafts

Thank Bob for the kind words. I have wrote numerous other poems for Dieckman. Our friendship go back to '89.

I nearly bought that cue at the nationals a year ago. I believe the pool shafts were made by Andy Gilbert. I enjoy sociology and and have a special interest in having the cue Dieckman built for Ned Polsky. If you don't have his book on pool hustlers, PM your address and I will send you a copy.

I also was about to buy this cue.

ATTENTION COLLECTORS - Absolute one-of-a-kind custom cue for your collection

We came across a real collertor's item in this custom Dieckman wood joint cue. This Dieckman cue, was built for Ned Polsky, in 1999. Ned was a retired publisher, sociology professor, book dealer, and author of "Hustlers, Beats, and Others". Ned died June 13th 2000 at the age of 71. The cue was not quite finished at the time of his death. The pool shafts were made by another cue maker, in Illinois. The cue is an excellent hitting cue, as Dennis is a great cue builder. Anyone wanting more information about the cue can contact Dennis at cuemaker.com.

The above quota from actual auction. Area highlighted by me.

Question:
Andy Gilbert live in Michigan still 1994, 1994 to present in Mo. Why would you think he make the shaft, Drawman623?

As you did, I would guess Viguera.

I exchanged contact info with the cue's former owner. He contacted me several times about a deal. The price was right, but I had an opportunity to buy the Dieckman cue built for Raymond Ceulemans. I bought that cue instead. When I spoke to the previous owner of the Polsky cue, he said the price went up $300 because he had 2 Gilbert pool shafts added into the mix. At the time I was only interested in Dieckman 3C cues so I passed. They could be built by another maker, but I was told Andy made them. I also know he has done similar wood pin shafts in the past.

Either way, He got a good buy, and got more information about the cue. Thank for the reply Drawman623.

Thanks To All

Thanks to all of you for your info on my new Dieckman. I was wondering what the cue might be worth and who made the extra shafts. I figured since Dennis is not making cues that it would be a wise purchase now. Bob Watson, your cues are amazing. I wish I had bought the Masse cue recently on AZ. I think it may have been Drawman623's cue.

I think I know him, is his first name Dave, he used to live in Mississauga, Ontario?

Anyway I have a Dieckman you can see it at http://www.shooterville.com/scott%20soroko%20cues along with the rest of my cue collection.

However this cues is not for sale, it was owned and loved by a close friend of mine who lost his life to cancer just over a year ago.

Dieckman

His first name is Dave, I do know that he lived in Canada, but I'm not sure. I know him through work and we both have a thing for motorcycles and pool.
