Does anyone have, or used to have a Dennis Diekman cue ?.....And if so, what do you think of the quality and playability of it.....I know that he is more known for his 3 cushion billiard cues, but I'm wanting to know about his pool cues. Thanks, Ghost

Dieckman

I had a Dieckman...

The woodworking was good but the finish could have been a little better (I ended up having Scot @ Proficient refinish it). Overall, it hit just fine.. about what you'd expect from a FF steel joint. IMHO though, I'd say his cues are a little overpriced at $2000+. If you can get ahold of one for cheaper that would be a better deal since it's hard to get the full amount in the secondary market.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info.....That's a good looking Diekman cue of yours in the pic - did you sell it ?

Dieckman

Yeah.. I ended up having a cue made for me and did a cash/trade for a Whitten 3x6 for the Dieckman. I've seen a couple on eBay from time to time.. you could also contact Dieckman himself and make him an offer on something he's got around the shop. He was very reasonable with me.

:R:

i recently sold one on here myself...

i must say that if hadnt had a schon on the way, i would of had it refinished and kept it. it hit wonderful! great balance.

well worth the money.

I got to take a look at this cue and hit some balls with it. Very nice and a good opportunity to pick up one of his cues. DD is quite a character. A buddy of mine contacted him about building a cue and his current prices are pretty high- his wood collection is almost legendary. Players cues are pretty rare from him.

I just ordered a new Rick Howard so this one was off the table for me.

maybe they go for that much.. i dont know.. but that natural one for a thousand.. i just cant see what would make it worth it.. i follow alot of cue makers and he isnt one of them.. so i dont know what they go for..

what does everybody else think of the price they are asking for that cue?
