I think in all the speculation of, "who can beat Earl on the 5x10" one of the best players has been left out.
I believe Dennis Hatch can handle that table just fine due to his powerful stroke, long reach and accuracy.
And Dennis will not be intimidated by Earl's disposition and can certainly give him some back if necessary.
I really think Dennis has the best chance against Earl on this table.
Your thoughts?

Dennis and Earl have quite a bit in common when it comes to emotional pool.

I don't think Dennis, though, has the experience on the 10-footer that Earl does. Dennis does, however, have the capability to shoot shots that others wouldn't even attempt and do so successfully.

As long as Team Dennis is happy, then Dennis will shoot phenomenally well. :)

I dont think he stands a chance. Earl has way more moves and Earl's kicks and saftey play is way better than Dennis. Dennis may have replaced Earl on The Mosconi Cup but that is about as far as it goes. Dennis has never played as good as Earl on any table and thats just the facts. The numbers don't lie. I like the Idea of them playing though. JMHO

IMO I think Earl after beating Shane on 10 footer has a confidence in himself & from his sponsor to take anyone's challenge. Question can they post?

There is talk going on right now to play Alex P. and after that Darren A. is in line. I think we will see more "Earl Show".

I don't like Earl at all. I don't like what he's doing to pool. I can't stand watching his hissy fits but, he can't be beat on that 10X5 right now. Somewhere down the road someone will beat him and I think that man might be Mr. Reyes. JMO

I think Alex has the best chance with his snooker background.. I may be wrong but I like his chances and his attitude and free spirit would not hurt..

This is true. He will have to play with a 83" Schon Cue though. That will be a great match if it happens.

Actually, you might be right. On the 10' table, position, safeties, and kicks were far more important than they are on a 9' table and if there is anybody who can take advantage of that, its the guy who basically invented the kick-safe. The only problem is that age seems to have caught up to the magician recently.

Well. I'll just say if it comes off, you have action with me! I'll be surprised if be broke 60 against Earl. I don't think Dennis can play the long grueling matches as well as Shane, much less Earl.

That sucks. I guess he's still having the back issues after surgery.

For those that might not have seen the stream (I don't imagine there were many since it was free the last day), Earl played what I would call near perfect pool on that table. His missed shots were few, miss kicks were few, as well as not leaving Shane a picture perfect layout if he didn't make anything on the break. While there were many racks Shane should have gotten, he just could not acclomate himself to the table...and that says A LOT about Earl!!

Earl played phenomenal for 3 straight days....hands down!! No one on earth could have beaten Earl in this match on those 3 days. Granted, next match may be different...it may be hard for Earl to duplicate the performance we just saw. Time will tell!!!

The saddest part about the match is that no matter how great Earl played, he traded his dignity and class to do it!!!:(

if Shane can't win Dennis has no chance.

Do you really think Denis would beat SVB on a 10 footer? NO

P.S. If Earl plays like he did this weekend, NO ONE has to like it.
