What does that have to do with anything?
This thread was calling out Dennis. I'm just saying this is pool. It happens to the best of them all. If Shane getting back in the tournament wasnt bad form, I dont know what is.

They were also talking about something Frost did when Rodney beat him 9-0. I didn't catch the whole thing, but I think Frost was conceding games too early or something, because the conclusion was that people are paying to watch these matches, so they should play the games to the end.

Part of the issue was that the commentators forgot the matches were to 9 rather than 10 (as they had been for 10-ball). They thought Scott conceded the last two balls and another game, but it was just the last two balls. Scott also gave Rodney a high-five and congratulated him for playing great. Dennis stormed out without even looking at Shane.
Absolutely. I think it's important for the players to point out problems with the equipment even as they are doing their best to cope with the problems. It's better to complain first to the management, but sometimes management is deaf.
I think all tournaments need to implement some kind of penalty for quitting (or even failing to try to win).

I seen him pull up in a race to 11 or 12......just un corcked at 7-7......he was trapped by Melrose, but that's not the point. I would call that stiffing a bet....real bad sportsmanship lol.
Jay probably would be willing to give Dennis the lecture. Dennis is a great guy and he should be aware that this kind of behavior is unprofessional. I can think of nobody better than Jay to explain it to him.
It's funny how we all work on our games and spend countless hours practicing, but how much time do we spend studying up on good sportsmanship?
Dave;
I'm really not biased though I do root more for shane because I think he's very classy and he's American, like I am. :smile:
Was SVB acting unsportsmanlike and childish for unscrewing after that ref call at MP Open? I think that's very debateable.
Was Dennis childish and unsportsmanlike in the 4 examples I cited, including last night's display? I say Yes with a capital Y.
It's not my bias favoring Shane, it's my honest opinion.
best,

Quitting is quitting.
I agree.
what kind of motorcycle you riding there, Sir?

Here's a screen shot of the final ball position. At 8-2 Dennis was about to break. He approached the TD and complained about the magic rack, but it's unclear what his complaint actually was. Dennis broke, and the CB left the table. Dennis looked frustrated as he sat down.
