Dennis Orcullo banned from USA for five years

I hope so. When you get sideways with DHS/immig. they hold all the good cards.
He’s gonna need some strong help. Won’t be easy. Could take 2-3 years. But I think under 5 is likely. When they get their claws in anyone they don’t let go-that’s a fact as you mention.

Fatboy😀

And why did they wait for him to come back then send him home right away?
Logic tells me the time stamps on his passport showed he overstayed at least once.
Stop the speculations already.
Ok dad....forgot this was a pool forum

Easier than you think.
A Filipina actress was caught with drugs at LAX.
She hired a good lawyer in LA.
She wasn't deported or banned.
Dennis did not commit any crime outside of short stay outside of the US or staying here too long. If he shows consistent tax paying, he should be back in a jiffy with a new status at that.

Want to explain your comment "Laws apply to everyone inless your connected like Clinton's?" Could we leave the political bullshit at home please?

Comments are actually simple the Laws are not equal.

If you think they are you are disillusioned.

Some people like the Clintons have a history of let’s say those changed with enforcing laws looking the other way.

Fair no, can this be fixed, maybe.

Back to Dennis as a frequent traveler on a Visa, he should have kept teach of rules allowing when he could come, when he had to go, etc.

Sure hope so, drugs are bad action.

Fingers crossed

Well let’s talk about = enforcing law then, but you will ever be happy❓

Well this is example of how someone might say law is not applied equal.

Actress has funds to hire apprently great legal mind.

Had she not got great lawyer, could she have been in prision?

We will never know, because she got legal help.

Well he is back to posting in NPR. Letting his political bullshit bleed into this.

That's how immigration works. You can easily leave the country anytime you want. It's getting back in that's challenging. They don't have the manpower to go hunt down every foreigner in the country but they do have the ability to screen them upon entry.

I read her story. For an amount that small all she had to do was plead no contest and go thru a drug counseling program. Apparently she was clean for a set time and passed over 40 tests. She's also a permanent resident and they don't deport them for small cases like this.

There was never a doubt Denis would get a solid amount of help from you Jay as well as others. He’s a important part of pool in America and works his ass off to support his people in the Pi. He’s not a criminal or doing anything wrong here. He wins-he collects, he loses he pays. Honorable. Oddly enough I don’t even know him, but I’m sure glad he has the support of the right people.

I’m still betting the under 5 years in this, if anyones interested.

Dennis has harmed no one, yet he's being harmed by the us govt for.....for what?

Shouldn't this political thread be in the non-political npr section? Wait. Shouldn't this political thread be in the...where the hell should this thread be?

Visa rules/regs are not rocket science. He's not being singled-out. He's been coming here long enough to know how his visa works. He rolled the dice and lost.

So he's not smart enough to be here.

Whatever. The whole thing is still ridiculous, imho.

Harmed no one well maybe your 1/2 right. If you read story i linked yesterday it was his SECOND VISA VIOLATION.

So he broke rules twice, got caught, only got turned away, and was allowed to return home.

People drive over speed limit all the time, but when caught cry about being caught.

Customs Officials are charge with enforcing rules, that is sometime a thankless job. Because some people dislike you doing job.

They don't do anything on your way out, only when you re-enter. This 'second violation' story, if true, is a real problem. He may have had to stay at home a while then re-apply for new visa. A second time could result in up to 10yrs or possible revoking altogether. Hope it works out. He's a great guy who made a mistake that could be quite costly in the long run. Hope not.
