Who would pass along a Searing ever. lol. I'd trade him all 3 of my cues and everything else pool related in my possession for it but it wouldn't come close to the asking price..
You are missing the point. He won the cue in a raffle. He has very little invested in the cue. They mean he should lower the price to be more agressive in this depressed cue market. He has $125 invested in the cue.
As the saying goes "hook a brotha up..."

With all due respect, what the owner has invested in the cue is no one's business.
Only thing that should matter is whether he's asking a price someone is willing to pay. I guess so far, it's not the case in which case he can lower his expectation, keep the cue or go somewhere else to sell the cue (e.g. eBay).
I'm guessing the owner received some "I know you got $125 in the cue, so I'll give you $3K for it" type of offers .. wait maybe that's what I offered him

i totally understand what you guys mean.I know I invested only $125 for the cue and why should ask for $6000?..that sounds so greedy isn't it?i know i shouldn't be asking for too much but at the same time also want to be smart.I am like your local cue dealer,i have asking price but we can negotiate.It just happen that at this time i needed more cash than getting trades for a high end cues.I rather do more cash + some lower end cues.honestly all the offers are very decent and of course i want to make sure i choose the best one.

Jaypee is a really fair guy and he has a bunch of nice playing cues that he uses when he plays. Seems like he wants to sell this cue, but if something caught his eye he would make the trade.

If I won a raffle for a cue like this I would never use it. Some people have expesive cues and some people like to keep it simple. If you have a $7,000 cue and a $500 car that wouldn't make sense. (an example of a guy I know)
If it was me I might take a trade for a nice schön and take the rest in cash money.
