I have been considering ordering a custom Dennis Swift the way I want it, color that I want it. But I have been searching the archive of this forum, and see where on week (loosely speaking) some owners is singing the praise of his or her new Swift. Than several weeks later it is up on the For Sale Forum.?

So I will ask if anyone has any ideas as to why people don?t seem to hang on to their Dennis Swift Cue Cases, or is the market that people just buy, and sell.

If you are, or were a Dennis Swift Cue Case owner past, or present. What are you likes, dislikes, and improvements you would like to see Dennis incorporate in his cases?

They're nice cases. I wish I'd never sold mine. Everything has a price, and sometimes you just want something different. Thats why things sell

I don't like that the tubes for the shafts don't let you put it joint first into the case. Very good quality of workmanship. Zippers are a bit sharp. Well made strap and handle. Good tooling. You can't go wrong for the money.

However, to be honest I flipped my Swift when I had a chance to pickup a Justis.

I like mine

I like mine. It is very well built. I have a 2x4. It has plenty of storage room. I have a Justis and my swift is the one I use. It compliments any of my custom cues and I always get compliments when I go into the pool halls. I would like to have one made that has a black body with tan pockets. I would also like my name on it.

I thought it was a little heavy, so I sold it.. But I've been regreting since.. :(

Does anyone have a link to these cases?....also, what ever happened to the ?new york case co.? was it called. They had some cool old skool looking stuff.

I have a Swift case that I bought in 1993. I also have four Justis cases, a Thomas, Brian Bonner, four George cases, a Talisman, a Felinni, etc. Yes...I collect cases. Anyway, I have gotten more compliments on my Swift case than any of the others. I must admit that the leather is much prettier. More highly figured would be the correct way to put it. The pros would be: excellent workmanship, good quality leather, lots of room in the pouches and easily accessable pouches, strong hardware and tubes. Cons: very heavy, felt lined tubes and a more broad appearance than other 2 x 4 cases. It's a good case and as you can see from previous posts, those that got rid of their cases wish they still had them.

I use a swift and still do. The only complaint that i have with mine is that it does not have a pouch long enough to hold a jump butt.

I think my case is a really practical one. Antique brown with 3 pouches up front. It is well built. So nothing really to complaint about. I see no point in getting a really nice and expensive Justis but live in fear of getting it scratched, damaged, spilled on, brushed against, stolen etc etc.

Swift for me. If i ever need a new case. It will most probably be another Swift.

Best regards
Chris

They are good, durable cases. He makes the widowmaker cases too. For the $300 or less price range, they are a good buy. Since they are a mid-priced case, a lot of people move up to the more expensive Justis and Whittens.

Yeah....have used all kind of cases and somehow the swift case was a lot more comfortable for my cues and it's durable (built to last). It's just good quality and great construction, weight is a little heavy but you don't feel it much with the shoulder pad as it's very well balanced and easy to carry around.

Duc.

I have a Swift case that I bought new in 1991 (geez time flies) and it has served me well. I only have two issues with it. First, it's a tad heavy. Especially when I strap it over my back on occasions when I take the motorcycle. Second, the pockets are small and can be a pain to get in and out of with sharp zippers. Other than that, it has protected my cues very well. A very solid case.

I've probably had 10 Swift cases. No particular reason that I sold them. I still have one. My favorite case by far is a Justis. (Another Justis is on the way :D ).

I love your Case collection,

Think your Justis's are like Roll Royces delivering you in style,

but your Swift does the job like a KIA, getting your Cues there safely.

I love my Swift case. I'm giving it to my father as a gift - as I now have a Whitten I carry my arsenal in.
